Summary

This 2021 Rolls-Royce Phantom EWB represents the absolute pinnacle of luxury travel, featuring the highly desirable Extended Wheelbase for maximum rear-cabin legroom. With 47,000 km, it has been driven reasonably for a prestige sedan in the GCC, where its black-on-black color scheme ensures maximum resale appeal across the region. Powered by the legendary 6.75L V12, it offers a level of refinement and presence that rivals from Bentley or Maybach simply cannot match. For a buyer in the UAE or Saudi Arabia, this European-spec flagship provides an elite chauffeur-driven experience with the most iconic silhouette in the automotive world.

This Car vs Other 2021 Phantoms

At 47,000 km, this Phantom has seen average use compared to the typical 20,000 km annual cycle for executive cars in the GCC. While it has covered more ground than some collector examples, it remains mechanically young for its hand-built V12 engine. The black exterior is a primary value-driver in the local market, making it significantly easier to trade or sell later than more experimental bespoke colors.

EWB vs Lower Trims

The EWB (Extended Wheelbase) adds 220mm of length exclusively to the rear passenger compartment, creating a cavernous sanctuary for those who prefer to be driven. This trim often includes the Starlight Headliner and individual rear lounge seating as standard, features that are highly prized in the GCC market for their evening ambiance and long-distance comfort.

Phantom vs Segment Rivals

The Phantom stands alone above rivals like the Bentley Mulsanne and Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, offering a larger physical footprint and a more substantial road presence. Its 100-litre fuel tank provides significant range for long-distance cruising between emirates, while its 'Architecture of Luxury' aluminium spaceframe offers a quieter, more insulated cabin than the Maybach's steel-based construction.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption typically averages 16.0 L/100km combined, though city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh can see this increase. As a European-spec vehicle, owners should ensure service history is documented at authorized Rolls-Royce centers in the UAE or KSA to maintain value. While all luxury flagships depreciate, the Phantom EWB holds a unique position as a global icon, typically retaining value better than the standard wheelbase models in the secondary market.

Performance & Capability

The 563 hp twin-turbo V12 delivers 900 Nm of torque from just 1,700 RPM, allowing this three-ton sedan to reach 100 km/h in an effortless 5.3 seconds. The satellite-aided 8-speed transmission uses GPS data to pre-select gears based on upcoming road topography, ensuring the 'Magic Carpet Ride' remains uninterrupted. Despite its size, rear-axle steering provides a manageable turning circle for navigating urban hotel entrances and private estates.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is a masterpiece of artisan craft, featuring book-matched wood veneers and Grade-A bull leather that resists stretching in high heat. Rear passengers benefit from dedicated climate zones and high-velocity cooling vents essential for GCC summers, alongside the signature power-closing coach doors. The acoustic glass and 130kg of sound insulation make this the quietest cabin ever produced by the marque.

Safety

Safety is managed by a sophisticated suite of ADAS platforms, including night vision, active cruise control, and a four-camera system with panoramic view for easier parking. The laser headlights provide over 600 metres of visibility, a crucial safety benefit for late-night desert highway driving. Standard features include collision warning, cross-traffic alert, and a comprehensive multi-stage airbag system designed for all five occupants.

The bottom line

This is a rare opportunity to own a current-generation Phantom EWB in the region's most preferred color combination, offering unparalleled status and comfort for the discerning executive or collector.
