Summary

This 2023 Ferrari SF90 Spider offers a rare opportunity to acquire Maranello's flagship hybrid convertible with delivery mileage, a major advantage in the GCC where such high-spec examples typically command a premium. As a PHEV, it provides the versatility of silent city cruising alongside a combined 986 hp for high-speed highway performance. The iconic red exterior remains the gold standard for resale value in the region, ensuring strong long-term desirability. For the GCC buyer, the Retractable Hard Top (RHT) is essential, providing the refinement of a coupe during peak summer heat and an open-air experience in the cooler months. This European-spec model represents the absolute cutting edge of automotive engineering available in the market today.

This Car vs Other 2023 SF90 Spiders

With just 230 km on the odometer, this example is effectively in showroom condition, sitting well below the average mileage for 2023 models in the GCC. While many regional supercars see regular use on weekend drives between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, this car's near-zero usage makes it a collector-grade find. The classic red finish further strengthens its position, as it remains the most liquid and sought-after color for Ferrari resales in the local market.

SPIDER vs Lower Trims

The Spider trim introduces Ferrari's sophisticated Retractable Hard Top (RHT), which can be deployed in just 14 seconds even while moving, a feature that significantly improves daily usability in the GCC's changing climate. Unlike the fixed-roof Stradale, the Spider features a power-adjustable rear window that allows the engine's V8 soundtrack to enter the cabin even when the roof is closed. It also benefits from the latest digital cockpit interface, featuring a 16-inch curved HD display and haptic steering wheel controls that are standard for this flagship trim.

SF90 vs Segment Rivals

The SF90 Spider stands apart from rivals like the Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae and McLaren 750S Spider by utilizing a sophisticated three-motor hybrid AWD system. This setup provides superior traction and torque vectoring, making it significantly more composed on high-speed desert highways and during technical track sessions. While rivals rely on larger naturally aspirated or pure combustion engines, the Ferrari's PHEV system offers an electric-only mode perfect for quiet departures from residential communities.

Running Costs & Resale

As a plug-in hybrid, the SF90 Spider is remarkably efficient for a supercar, with a combined fuel consumption of 6.9 L/100km (WLTP). Service intervals are typically every 20,000 km or 12 months, and as a 2023 model, it may still benefit from the remainder of Ferrari's 7-year Genuine Maintenance program, which is widely supported by authorized centers across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. While European luxury exotics generally see a higher depreciation curve, the SF90’s flagship status and low production volume help it retain value better than entry-level mid-engine models.

Performance & Capability

The SF90 Spider is capable of reaching 100 km/h in a staggering 2.5 seconds, powered by a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 paired with three electric motors. Its all-wheel-drive system is specifically tuned to handle the immense 800 Nm of torque, providing immense stability during high-speed overtaking on major GCC thoroughfares. The eManettino selector allows the driver to toggle between four power modes, including 'Qualify' for maximum output and 'eDrive' for silent, emissions-free driving at speeds up to 135 km/h.

Comfort & Cabin

The two-seat cockpit is a blend of carbon fiber and high-grade leather, designed to isolate occupants from the intense GCC summer heat while providing a driver-centric experience. The climate control system is specifically engineered to compensate for open-top driving, ensuring the cabin remains cool even when the RHT is retracted. The 16-inch digital instrument cluster provides all vital information, including hybrid energy flow and navigation, within the driver's direct line of sight.

Safety

Standard safety features include a high-performance carbon-ceramic braking system designed for fade-free stops from extreme speeds. The electronic Side Slip Control (eSSC) and advanced traction control systems are particularly valuable on the region's occasionally sandy or dusty road surfaces, providing a safety net for the car's 986 hp output. Front and side airbags, along with a high-strength chassis, ensure the SF90 meets the highest global safety standards for a performance convertible.

The bottom line

This delivery-mileage 2023 Ferrari SF90 Spider is the ideal acquisition for a GCC-based enthusiast looking for the absolute pinnacle of Ferrari's current production range without the wait for a new allocation.
