Summary

This 2022 Blazer RS is a compelling find in the GCC market, offering the preferred naturally aspirated V6 engine that remains a favorite for regional highway driving. With a silver exterior—a high-resale color in the UAE—and mileage that aligns with the higher highway usage typical of the GCC, it presents a solid ownership proposition. The RS trim provides the aggressive styling and sport-tuned suspension that makes this model a standout choice for those who want Camaro-inspired looks in a practical SUV format. It handles the local heat exceptionally well with its robust cooling systems and premium interior finishes. For a four-year-old vehicle, it remains a sharp and modern crossover that bridges the gap between family transport and performance styling.

This Car vs Other 2022 Blazers

With 93,561 km on the odometer, this Blazer has been driven slightly above the global average but remains within the typical range for a 4-year-old vehicle in the GCC, where daily highway commutes between emirates are common. The silver exterior is a strategic choice for the local market, offering excellent heat reflection and maintaining strong resale demand compared to darker colors. Mechanical health on these V6 units is generally high given their suitability for long-distance highway cruising.

RS vs Lower Trims

The RS trim is the most sought-after variant in the GCC, upgrading the standard 2.0L turbo to the more powerful 3.6L V6 engine and adding a specialized twin-clutch all-wheel-drive system. Inside, it gains a larger 8-inch digital driver information center and a premium infotainment system with navigation, alongside the signature Jet Black leather interior with red accents. Externally, it is distinguished by 20-inch wheels and a blacked-out grille, features that local buyers prioritize for their premium aesthetic.

Blazer vs Segment Rivals

The Blazer RS leads the Ford Edge and Nissan Murano in terms of pure visual aggression, borrowing heavily from Chevrolet's performance car design language. Its 3.6L V6 offers a more linear power delivery than the smaller turbocharged engines found in many rivals, making it a smoother companion for the UAE's fast-moving highways. Additionally, the Blazer's cargo flexibility and sliding rear seats provide a level of interior modularity that outshines many competitors in the midsize segment.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.6L V6 is remarkably reliable in the GCC climate, with an extensive network of authorized Chevrolet service centers across all Emirates and Saudi Arabia ensuring parts are readily available. Real-world fuel consumption typically averages around 10.9 L/100km, which is efficient for a V6 when cruising at highway speeds. Resale value for the RS trim remains higher than the base models due to the strong local demand for the sporty styling and the larger engine displacement.

Performance & Capability

With 308 horsepower and a 0-100 km/h time of 6.8 seconds, the Blazer RS is among the quickest in its price bracket, providing confident overtaking power on the E11 and E311 highways. The 9-speed automatic transmission is tuned for smoothness, avoiding the gear-hunting often felt in less sophisticated units during city traffic. While designed for the road, the all-wheel-drive system and 7.4-inch ground clearance make it capable enough for gravel trails and beach access during weekend outings.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for GCC summers, featuring a powerful air conditioning system with large, Camaro-style circular vents that allow for precise airflow control. The RS trim includes perforated leather-appointed seats and a leather-wrapped heated steering wheel, providing a premium tactile feel. Rear passengers benefit from dedicated cooling vents and a sliding seat mechanism that can prioritize either class-leading legroom or cargo space depending on the trip's requirements.

Safety

Standard on this RS trim is the Chevy Safety Assist suite, which includes Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, and Forward Collision Alert. For highway driving, the Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert is particularly valuable in fast-moving UAE traffic. It holds a 5-star overall safety rating from the NHTSA, supported by a comprehensive system of airbags and a reinforced safety cage.

The bottom line

Perfect for the GCC professional or small family who wants a crossover that looks like a muscle car but handles the daily commute with ease. This V6 RS listing is a high-spec opportunity in a market-preferred color, ready for the long-haul drives the region demands.
