Chevrolet Corvette 3LT

• 0–100 km/h in 3.5 seconds
• 490 hp from a naturally aspirated V8
• Top speed of 296 km/h

Summary

This Stingray offers a rare mid-engine supercar experience combined with the mechanical simplicity of a small-block V8, making it a standout in the UAE's performance scene. At four years old with 110,000 km, its mileage reflects a car that has enjoyed regular highway use across the Emirates rather than sitting in a garage, which often prevents common seals from drying out. The 3LT trim is the absolute top of the range, addressing the traditional Corvette weak point by wrapping nearly every interior surface in premium leather and microfiber. While pink is a bold, non-traditional choice, it ensures maximum visibility at local events and track days at Yas Marina. For a buyer looking for Ferrari-rivaling performance without the specialized maintenance overhead, this is a compelling local opportunity.

This Car vs Other 2022 Corvettes

With 110,000 km over four years, this Corvette has seen higher-than-average use compared to typical weekend-only garage queens, but this often translates to a well-sorted mechanical history with frequent oil cycles. American-spec C8s are common in the UAE and offer identical performance to GCC models, though buyers should verify that the infotainment and navigation have been updated for local maps. The unique pink exterior is a bespoke statement that sets it apart from the sea of Torch Red and Arctic White examples usually found in the market.

3LT vs Lower Trims

The 3LT is the highest luxury tier, upgrading the cabin significantly over the 1LT and 2LT by making the GT2 Napa leather bucket seats standard. Unlike the lower trims, the 3LT features a fully leather-wrapped dashboard, door panels, and center console, along with a sueded microfiber headliner that drastically improves cabin insulation and premium feel. It also includes the full tech suite from the 2LT, such as the 14-speaker Bose Performance Series audio and a color Head-Up Display.

Corvette vs Segment Rivals

The Corvette C8 competes directly with the Porsche 911 Carrera and the Audi R8, leading both in sheer horsepower-per-dirham and maintenance simplicity due to its naturally aspirated engine. While a 911 offers more clinical precision, the Corvette's 70-liter fuel tank and mid-engine balance make it a superior long-distance grand tourer for cross-border trips between the UAE and Oman. Its exotic, low-slung silhouette provides supercar presence that typically costs twice as much in European rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption typically averages around 12.4 L/100km, though this can drop to 8.7 L/100km during steady-speed highway cruising on the E11. Service intervals are recommended every 12,000 km in the GCC, with a critical transmission filter change required early in its life to protect the dual-clutch gearbox. The C8 generation has shown remarkable value retention in the local market, often depreciating by only 10–12% annually, significantly slower than its European counterparts.

Performance & Capability

Launching from 0–100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, the 6.2L LT2 V8 provides immediate torque and a distinct American soundtrack that resonates perfectly through city tunnels. The mid-engine layout provides exceptional traction for fast highway overtakes and stays flat through high-speed corners thanks to a low center of gravity. Selectable drive modes, including a customizable 'Z-Mode,' allow the driver to sharpen the steering and throttle response for track use or soften the dampers for urban commuting.

Comfort & Cabin

The driver-centric 'cockpit' design places all controls within easy reach, featuring a high-resolution 8-inch touchscreen and a 12-inch digital instrument cluster. For the GCC summer, the 3LT comes standard with high-performance ventilated seats and a powerful dual-zone climate control system designed to combat 45°C+ heat. The coupe features a removable roof panel that can be stored in the rear trunk, allowing for an open-air experience during the cooler winter months.

Safety

This top-tier trim includes an essential safety suite for UAE highway driving, featuring Side Blind Zone Alert and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert to manage the car's low-visibility rear angles. A standard HD Front Curb View Camera helps protect the low front splitter from damage in tight parking areas or against high curbs. The digital rearview mirror is particularly useful in the C8, providing a clear wide-angle camera feed even when the engine bay heat shield or luggage blocks the traditional line of sight.

The bottom line

This is the ideal choice for an enthusiast who wants the highest-spec C8 interior and supercar performance with the reliability of a Chevrolet V8, finished in a color that guarantees it will never be lost in a crowd.
