Summary

This 2022 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody is a rare find in the GCC, offering nearly new performance with only 7,000 km on the clock. Finished in Black, it carries the most aggressive aesthetic available for this generation and holds its value exceptionally well among local muscle car enthusiasts. As a Redeye Widebody, it represents the peak of the Challenger's production run before the transition to electric, making it a highly sought-after collectible. For a GCC buyer, this means owning a piece of automotive history that is perfectly suited for high-speed highway cruising and weekend track sessions at the Dubai Autodrome.

This Car vs Other 2022 Challengers

With only 7,000 km, this Challenger sits significantly below the typical 20,000 km annual average for the UAE market. While many 2022 models have been used as daily commuters, this specific Redeye has been preserved as a weekend performance vehicle. Its Black exterior is a top-tier resale color in the GCC, ensuring it remains highly liquid in the used market.

SRT HELLCAT REDEYE WIDEBODY vs Lower Trims

The Redeye Widebody adds a substantial 80 hp over the standard Hellcat and incorporates a larger 2.7-liter supercharged system inspired by the SRT Demon. The Widebody fenders add 3.5 inches of width, providing the necessary footprint for 305/35R20 Pirelli tires that offer superior grip on hot GCC asphalt. Inside, you get the SRT Power Chiller system, which redirects air conditioning refrigerant to cool the intake air—a critical feature for maintaining performance in extreme summer heat.

Challenger vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Shelby GT500 and Camaro ZL1, the Challenger leads the segment in daily practicality with a genuinely usable 5-seat cabin and 459 liters of boot space. While rivals focus on track agility, the Redeye is the king of the straight-line sprint and offers a more comfortable ride for long-distance cruising between Emirates. Its massive 70-liter fuel tank is specifically advantageous for long-distance desert highway drives.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 15.7 L/100km, though this can rise in stop-start city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. Service intervals are recommended every 10,000 km, with a wide network of authorized Dodge centers available across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. As an American spec model, buyers should verify local service contract compatibility, though the Redeye trim typically sees lower depreciation rates—averaging 10-12% annually—compared to standard V8 muscle cars.

Performance & Capability

The 797 hp output allows for effortless highway overtaking and a sub-11 second quarter-mile time straight from the factory. The TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic is tuned specifically for the Redeye's high torque, ensuring crisp shifts during aggressive acceleration. Launch Control and Line Lock systems are standard, allowing you to maximize the supercharged HEMI's potential on prepared surfaces.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin features Laguna leather SRT seats with heating and ventilation, a must-have for the GCC climate. The 8.4-inch Uconnect system includes SRT Performance Pages, giving you real-time data on engine vitals and G-force. Despite its performance focus, the dual-zone climate control is powerful enough to maintain a chilled cabin even when exterior temperatures exceed 45°C.

Safety

This trim includes high-performance Brembo brakes with six-piston front calipers for reliable stopping power from high speeds. Safety is bolstered by Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path Detection, which are essential for navigating multi-lane highways. Electronic Stability Control with specialized SRT modes ensures the vehicle remains composed even when managing nearly 800 horsepower.

The bottom line

For the performance enthusiast who wants the ultimate American muscle car with showroom-level mileage, this Hellcat Redeye Widebody is the definitive choice in the UAE market today.
