Summary

This 2025 Honda Odyssey Touring offers a compelling opportunity for families, showing exceptionally low mileage for the GCC market where typical annual use often doubles this figure. The Touring trim is a preferred choice in the region, adding high-value tech like the cabin monitoring system and rear entertainment that are essential for long drives between emirates. Finished in a versatile Blue, it maintains strong appeal for resale, particularly among expatriate families who value Honda's reputation for mechanical longevity. As an American spec model, it provides the full suite of advanced driver assistance features while being mechanically identical to local variants, ensuring straightforward servicing across the UAE. This is a refined, low-use family hauler ready for the demands of GCC summer commutes and weekend road trips.

This Car vs Other 2025 Odysseys

With only 18,000 km on the odometer, this Odyssey sits well below the GCC average of 25,000 km per year, representing a significantly lower wear-and-tear profile. While the Blue exterior is a smart, heat-friendly alternative to standard white, its primary advantage is the like-new mechanical condition at a used market entry point. As a current-year model with such low mileage, it retains a vast majority of its useful service life compared to higher-mileage regional alternatives.

TOURING vs Lower Trims

The Touring trim is the sweet spot for tech-focused parents, adding the vital CabinWatch camera and CabinTalk intercom system not found on the EX-L or Sport-L. It also introduces the 12.8-inch rear entertainment screen and factory navigation, which are highly prized for keeping passengers occupied during cross-border drives. Additionally, the Touring upgrades to 19-inch alloy wheels and includes front and rear parking sensors as standard equipment.

Odyssey vs Segment Rivals

The Odyssey leads the Toyota Sienna and Kia Carnival in cabin flexibility thanks to its Magic Slide second-row seats, which allow for easy access to the third row even with child seats installed. It features a robust 74-liter fuel tank, providing superior highway range for long desert stretches compared to smaller-capacity rivals. While competitors have moved toward hybridization, the Odyssey’s proven 3.5L V6 remains the preferred choice for those prioritizing simple maintenance and consistent performance in extreme heat.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the V6 powertrain typically averages 10.7 L/100km combined, though GCC city traffic may see figures closer to 12.4 L/100km. Honda enjoys one of the most extensive authorized service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, ensuring parts are always available. In the GCC market, the Odyssey demonstrates excellent value retention, typically depreciating at a slower rate than its American or European minivan competitors. As an American spec vehicle, buyers should confirm service history to ensure continued eligibility for local specialist maintenance programs.

Performance & Capability

The 280 hp V6 engine provides smooth, linear acceleration that is ideal for confident highway overtaking on fast-moving roads like the E11. Paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, it delivers refined cruising even when fully loaded with eight passengers and luggage. While not intended for off-roading, its stable chassis and 280 hp output make it a capable companion for long-distance family travel across the varying terrains of the Emirates.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is purpose-built for large families, featuring a dedicated rear climate zone with vents for all three rows—a necessity during the peak GCC summer. The Touring trim’s acoustic glass helps isolate the interior from road noise, while the 12.8-inch screen ensures high-definition entertainment for rear passengers. With 929 liters of cargo space behind the third row, it easily accommodates groceries or gear without sacrificing passenger comfort.

Safety

Every 2025 Odyssey comes standard with the Honda Sensing suite, featuring Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keeping Assist, which are invaluable for reducing fatigue on long desert highways. The Touring trim adds front and rear parking sensors and a blind-spot information system to navigate tight urban parking and fast-moving multi-lane traffic. Additional protection is provided by standard knee airbags for front occupants and side curtain airbags covering all three rows.

The bottom line

This is an ideal choice for a family seeking a nearly-new premium van with the best interior tech available, offering a significant mileage advantage over typical GCC listings.
