Summary

This 2022 Range Rover First Edition P530 represents the pinnacle of the L460 generation's launch, featuring the highly sought-after BMW-sourced 4.4L V8. Finished in Gold, a color that holds exceptional prestige and resale strength in the UAE market, this example has covered 88,400 km—a figure that reflects typical highway-heavy use for a flagship executive SUV in the GCC. As a First Edition, it is equipped with nearly every available luxury and performance option from the factory, making it a significantly more complete offering than the standard HSE or SE trims. For the GCC buyer, the combination of all-wheel steering for city maneuverability and a twin-turbo V8 for effortless highway overtaking across the Emirates makes this a standout choice.

This Car vs Other 2022 Range Rovers

With 88,400 km, this vehicle sits at the expected mileage for a 2022 model driven regularly on GCC highways, where annual averages typically reach 25,000 km. The Gold exterior is a high-demand shade in the region, ensuring better value retention compared to more niche colors. Unlike many 2022 models that featured the six-cylinder engine, this P530 provides the superior V8 power plant preferred by luxury buyers in this segment.

FIRST EDITION P530 vs Lower Trims

The First Edition sits above the HSE and Autobiography, adding exclusive interior finishes and the highest-tier equipment as standard. It includes the 35-speaker Meridian Signature Sound System with active noise cancellation and 24-way heated, cooled, and massage front seats. Additionally, it features the Executive Class rear seating package and larger 23-inch wheels that are often optional on lower trims.

Range Rover vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the BMW X7 or Mercedes-Benz GLS, the Range Rover offers a superior wading depth of 900 mm and advanced Terrain Response 2 hardware, making it far more capable for weekend desert excursions. The BMW-sourced V8 provides a smoother power delivery than the GLS 580, while the Range Rover’s standard all-wheel steering gives it a tighter turning circle than many smaller luxury crossovers. Its 90-liter fuel tank is specifically suited for long-distance cross-border drives between GCC cities.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the P530 V8 averages approximately 12 L/100km, though this will increase in stop-start city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it benefits from a robust authorized service network through major dealers like Al Tayer or EuroMotors, ensuring parts availability and higher resale confidence. While European luxury SUVs face steeper depreciation than Japanese rivals, the First Edition trim traditionally holds a value premium due to its limited production window during the model's launch year.

Performance & Capability

The 530 hp twin-turbo V8 propels this SUV from 0–100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds, delivering effortless performance on the E11 and other major highways. The Electronic Air Suspension provides a maximum ground clearance of 295 mm, allowing it to transition seamlessly from high-speed cruising to challenging off-road terrain. All-wheel steering is standard, reducing the turning circle to just 10.95 meters, which is essential for navigating tight parking in luxury malls and urban centers.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary of Semi-Aniline leather and refined materials, featuring a five-seat configuration designed for maximum passenger space. To combat the GCC summer, the vehicle is equipped with a powerful four-zone climate control system and ventilated seats for both front and rear occupants. Acoustic laminated glass and active noise cancellation in the headrests ensure a whisper-quiet environment even at highway speeds.

Safety

Safety is managed by a comprehensive ADAS suite including Adaptive Cruise Control with Steering Assist, Lane Keep Assist, and a 360° 3D Surround Camera system that is invaluable for parking such a large vehicle. GCC-specific safety benefits include Blind Spot Assist for fast-moving highway traffic and ClearSight Ground View, which allows the driver to see 'through' the hood when navigating tricky terrain or high curbs. The high-strength MLA-Flex architecture provides exceptional structural rigidity and occupant protection.

The bottom line

This First Edition P530 is the ideal acquisition for a buyer seeking the maximum possible specification and V8 prestige in a modern L460 body. Its GCC-spec status and desirable color make it a secure investment in the region’s luxury pre-owned market.
