Summary

This 2022 Mercedes-Benz E 450 Coupe arrives in the GCC as a highly desirable grand tourer, balancing modern mild-hybrid efficiency with the classic elegance of a pillarless two-door design. Its white exterior is a top-tier choice for the local market, ensuring excellent heat reflection and maintaining the strongest possible resale value across the region. With mileage significantly below the typical GCC annual average for a car of this age, it represents a well-preserved opportunity for a buyer seeking executive refinement. The Premium Plus trim brings essential features for the desert climate, including advanced cabin ventilation and premium materials that elevate the driving experience. For those navigating the fast-paced highways of the UAE or Saudi Arabia, the smooth power delivery of the inline-six provides effortless overtaking capability.

This Car vs Other 2022 E 450s

At 41,070 km, this vehicle's mileage is notably lower than the GCC market average of 50,000 to 60,000 km for a two-year-old car, marking it as a low-use example. The white exterior is a significant advantage in the Middle East, as it is the most sought-after color for heat management and long-term resale liquidity. While this is a Canadian-spec model, it shares the same robust mechanical architecture as local variants, making it well-suited for high-speed highway cruising between emirates.

PREMIUM PLUS vs Lower Trims

The Premium Plus trim is a substantial step up from the base E-Class, adding the high-fidelity 13-speaker Burmester surround sound system and a 360-degree surround-view camera that is vital for parking in tight urban spaces. It also includes the KEYLESS-GO Comfort Package with hands-free trunk access and upgraded multicontour front seats. These additions are highly valued by GCC buyers who prioritize cabin technology and parking convenience in congested city traffic.

E 450 vs Segment Rivals

The E 450 Coupe leads rivals like the BMW 8 Series and Audi A5 in cabin refinement and the unique aesthetic of its pillarless side glass, which offers unmatched visibility and an airy feel. Its 66-litre fuel tank provides a superior cruising range for long desert highway hauls compared to smaller-capacity competitors. The Mercedes MBUX system remains a benchmark for voice-activated commands, which is particularly useful for hands-free navigation while driving on busy GCC motorways.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 3.0L mild-hybrid powertrain averages approximately 9.4 L/100km on combined cycles, though GCC city traffic may see this rise slightly. Mercedes-Benz maintains a massive authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring that parts and expertise are always within reach. The E 450 typically sees an annual depreciation of 12-15% in the local market, holding its value better than larger luxury sedans due to the niche appeal of the coupe body style.

Performance & Capability

Acceleration to 100 km/h is achieved in just 5.2 seconds, powered by the 369 hp turbocharged inline-six engine supported by EQ Boost technology for instant torque. The rear-wheel-drive configuration and 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission offer a sporty yet composed feel on the open road. Five selectable drive modes allow the car to transition from a comfortable cruiser for the Dubai-Abu Dhabi commute to a sharpened athlete for more spirited weekend drives.

Comfort & Cabin

The four-seat cabin is designed for long-distance comfort, featuring dual-zone climate control and high-quality leather upholstery that stays comfortable even in peak summer temperatures. Standard 64-color ambient lighting allows for a personalized interior atmosphere, while the dual 12.3-inch displays provide a seamless digital cockpit experience. Excellent cabin insulation ensures a quiet environment, effectively shielding passengers from wind noise during high-speed highway travel.

Safety

This trim comes standard with a comprehensive safety suite, including Blind Spot Assist and Active Brake Assist, which are essential for the multi-lane, fast-moving traffic common in the GCC. The inclusion of a 360-degree camera system and Active Parking Assist simplifies maneuvering in major cities. Mercedes-Benz's PRE-SAFE system provides an additional layer of occupant protection by preparing the cabin for a potential collision before it occurs.

The bottom line

This low-mileage E 450 Coupe is the ideal choice for a professional seeking a stylish, tech-heavy grand tourer that is already finished in the GCC's most resilient resale color.
