• Hand-built 4.0L V8 biturbo engine
• 100-litre fuel tank capacity

Summary

This GCC-spec G63 AMG stands as the definitive performance SUV for the region, finished in the market's most desirable black-on-black color combination for maximum resale liquidity. While the mileage reflects active use across the UAE’s highway network, it indicates a mechanically healthy vehicle that has avoided the common cooling issues associated with prolonged storage in high heat. As a 2022 model, it benefits from the matured W463A chassis architecture, offering significantly improved on-road handling and cabin refinement compared to older generations. In a market where presence and performance are paramount, the G63 holds its value with a tenacity that few luxury rivals can match. This is a rare opportunity to own a hand-assembled icon that is equally at home at a city valet as it is on a cross-border desert expedition.

This Car vs Other 2022 G63 AMGs

With 97,500 km, this vehicle’s mileage is slightly higher than the average for its year, but it reflects consistent highway use which is often preferable for maintaining the M177 engine's health. The black exterior remains the strongest performing color in the UAE used market, ensuring faster resale times and better price retention than rarer, niche shades.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

Moving up to the G63 AMG from the G500 adds the handcrafted V8 engine, signature side-exit exhaust system, and high-performance AMG braking suite. This trim specifically includes the Burmester surround sound system and the upgraded MBUX widescreen cockpit, features that are highly sought after by GCC buyers for daily comfort and entertainment.

G63 AMG vs Segment Rivals

The G63 outclasses rivals like the Range Rover SVR and Lamborghini Urus in terms of total fuel capacity with its 100-litre tank, making it superior for long-distance desert drives. While competitors focus on track performance, the G63 retains three mechanical locking differentials, providing genuine off-road hardware that its road-biased peers lack.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption typically averages around 16–18 L/100km, though this can increase in stop-start traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. Service intervals are strictly every 10,000 km, and with a massive authorized network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, parts and expert maintenance are always accessible. The G63 has one of the lowest depreciation rates in the luxury SUV segment, often retaining over 75% of its value after three years in the GCC.

Performance & Capability

The 585 hp V8 biturbo delivers a manufacturer-claimed 0–100 km/h sprint of 4.5 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power on fast-moving highways like the E11. Its ladder-frame construction and 241 mm ground clearance make it exceptionally durable for weekend trips to the dunes or gravel tracks. The AMG Speedshift 9-speed transmission is specifically tuned for both high-speed cruising and low-speed technical crawling.

Comfort & Cabin

The 5-seat cabin is designed for the Middle Eastern climate, featuring high-output air conditioning and ventilated Nappa leather seats as standard. Acoustic glass helps isolate the interior from road noise and desert heat, while the 64-color ambient lighting creates a tailored environment for night drives. The upright seating position provides the 'command view' highly favored by GCC drivers for better visibility in traffic.

Safety

Standard safety equipment includes a comprehensive ADAS suite with Active Brake Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, and Blind Spot Assist, which is vital for multi-lane highway driving. The 360° camera system makes navigating tight urban parking easy, while the robust body-on-frame design and multiple airbags provide top-tier passive protection.

The bottom line

This G63 is the ideal choice for a buyer who wants the ultimate GCC status symbol without the immediate depreciation of a brand-new showroom model. Its GCC specification and black-on-black palette make it a secure, high-prestige investment for any regional enthusiast.
