Summary

This 2022 Brabus G800 offers a rare opportunity to own a world-class performance SUV with mileage that is well-balanced for its 4-year age in the GCC. While the blue exterior is a bold, high-character choice, the Brabus nameplate ensures exceptional value retention among elite collectors in the region. Compared to the standard G63, this G800 provides a 215 hp boost and a signature Widestar widebody presence that commands the road from Dubai to Riyadh. For a UAE buyer, this European-spec example delivers peak mechanical performance and the ultimate status symbol in a segment where differentiation is everything.

This Car vs Other 2022 G63 AMGs

With 76,000 km over 4 years, this G800 has averaged roughly 19,000 km per year, which is comfortably below the typical 25,000 km annual average for luxury SUVs in the GCC. This usage suggests a vehicle that has been regularly driven on highways—ideal for maintaining engine health—rather than sitting idle in storage. The European specification often includes high-end interior configurations not found on standard regional imports.

BRABUS G800 vs Lower Trims

The Brabus G800 is a significant leap over the standard G63 AMG, replacing the factory 585 hp output with a massive 800 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque via upgraded turbochargers and ECU mapping. Beyond the engine, the G800 adds the carbon-fiber Widestar body kit, 24-inch Monoblock wheels, and a custom valved sports exhaust system. Interior upgrades typically include Brabus-branded fine leather, carbon fiber accents, and often the starlight headliner favored by GCC buyers.

G63 AMG vs Segment Rivals

The Brabus G800 faces competition from the Lamborghini Urus and the Mansory-tuned Rolls-Royce Cullinan. While the Urus offers sharper track-like handling, the G800 leads with its iconic boxy presence and superior off-road hardware, including three locking differentials. Its vertical seating position and commanding road view remain unmatched for daily navigating of multi-lane UAE highways.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the G800 is approximately 13.1 L/100km on combined cycles, though GCC stop-start traffic and heavy air conditioning use will see city figures closer to 16.5 L/100km. Mercedes-Benz has an extensive authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, though European-spec cars may require third-party service contracts for localized peace of mind. The G63 platform is legendary for having the lowest depreciation in its class, often retaining over 70% of its value after three years in the local market.

Performance & Capability

The standout figure is the 1,000 Nm of torque, which allows this 2.5-ton SUV to reach 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds—performance usually reserved for supercars. The top speed is electronically limited to 240 km/h to protect the tires and manage the upright aerodynamics during high-speed highway drives across the Emirates. Despite the urban-focused Brabus tuning, it retains the mechanical low-range gearing and ground clearance needed for occasional soft-sand weekend excursions.

Comfort & Cabin

The 5-seat cabin is a masterpiece of luxury, featuring high-grade leather and multi-zone climate control essential for the 45°C+ GCC summers. This trim typically includes ventilated front seats and a premium Burmester surround sound system to provide a refined sanctuary from city noise. Large rear AC vents ensure that passengers remain cool during long trips between Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Safety

This model is equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including 360° surround-view cameras, which are vital for maneuvering such a large vehicle in tight Dubai parking. It features Blind Spot Assist and Active Lane Keeping Assist, providing extra security during fast-paced highway commuting. The reinforced body-on-frame construction and multiple airbags offer a level of passive safety that is a hallmark of the G-Class heritage.

The bottom line

This Brabus G800 is the perfect acquisition for the GCC enthusiast who demands more exclusivity than a standard G63 can provide. With its balanced mileage and prestigious tuning, it offers immediate road presence and strong long-term value in the local market.
