Summary

This 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB250 4MATIC stands out as a highly versatile luxury compact SUV, perfectly bridging the gap between city agility and family practicality. Its 4-year age and 88,600 km mileage reflect consistent, well-traveled use, yet it remains mechanically robust for the GCC's long-distance driving culture. The sophisticated Brown exterior is a distinguished choice in a market often dominated by whites and silvers, offering a unique aesthetic with stable resale potential. As a 4MATIC all-wheel-drive model, it provides superior traction for varied road conditions compared to the base front-wheel-drive trim. For a buyer in the UAE or wider GCC, this GLB offers a premium cabin experience and a powerful cooling system essential for the region's climate.

This Car vs Other 2022 GLB250s

With 88,600 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven approximately 22,150 km per year, which aligns perfectly with the average annual mileage for SUVs in the GCC region. This indicates a car that is well-exercised and suited for the high-speed highway commutes common between major cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi. While the Brown exterior is more niche than silver, it remains a classy, high-demand choice for Mercedes buyers looking for a more executive look.

4MATIC vs Lower Trims

The 4MATIC trim is a significant step up from the base GLB250, adding Mercedes-Benz's sophisticated all-wheel-drive system and an Off-Road Engineering package. This provides better stability and traction on slippery or sandy surfaces, which is a valued safety feature for GCC drivers. Additionally, this trim level often includes upgraded MBUX features and 18-inch wheels that enhance both the stance and the technological interface of the vehicle.

GLB250 vs Segment Rivals

The GLB250 offers a distinct advantage over rivals like the BMW X1 and Audi Q3 through its boxy, upright design which maximizes vertical interior space and cargo volume. While competitors focus heavily on sporty styling, the GLB leads in sheer practicality and the available cabin headroom, making it a superior choice for family road trips. Its MBUX voice-controlled infotainment system is also widely considered more intuitive for managing cabin comfort during intense summer heat.

Running Costs & Resale

The GLB250 4MATIC achieves a combined fuel consumption of roughly 8.6 L/100km, which is efficient for a luxury SUV, though city consumption will rise during the stop-start traffic typical of Dubai or Riyadh. As an American spec vehicle, it is important to note that while parts availability is excellent through the wide Mercedes-Benz network in the UAE, the factory warranty may not be valid at local authorized dealers. Mercedes-Benz SUVs in the GCC typically see an annual depreciation of 12-15%, making this a stable asset if maintained with a consistent service history.

Performance & Capability

Equipped with a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine producing 221 hp, the GLB250 reaches 100 km/h in a swift 7.0 seconds. This performance is more than adequate for confident overtaking on the E11 or other fast-moving GCC highways. The 4MATIC system and 8-speed dual-clutch transmission ensure a smooth, refined power delivery, while the selectable drive modes allow the driver to prioritize efficiency or sharper throttle response depending on the journey.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the GLB provides a high-tech environment with dual 7-inch displays and the advanced MBUX interface as standard. The dual-zone automatic climate control is robust enough to handle extreme summer temperatures, and the reclining second-row seats ensure rear passengers remain comfortable on long cross-border drives. Despite its compact footprint, the cabin feels airy and spacious, providing a refined sanctuary from the outside environment.

Safety

Safety is a hallmark of the 2022 GLB, featuring standard blind-spot monitoring which is essential for multi-lane highway driving in the UAE. It also includes forward collision mitigation with automatic braking and a high-strength occupant cell. These active systems, combined with a comprehensive airbag suite, provide peace of mind for families navigating both congested city centers and high-speed arterial roads.

The bottom line

This 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB250 4MATIC is the ideal choice for a young family or professional seeking the prestige of a Mercedes with the everyday utility of a larger SUV. It represents a smart opportunity to own a well-maintained, high-spec European crossover that is perfectly adapted for the modern GCC lifestyle.
