• Extensive GCC authorised service network

Summary

This 2022 Nissan Patrol LE Platinum represents one of the most respected names in the GCC for a reason: it perfectly balances legendary desert prowess with executive-level cabin refinement. At 116,000 km, this vehicle has been driven exactly as a long-distance cruiser should, typically covering highway miles between cities which often proves less taxing on the V8 than heavy city idling. The black exterior is a premier resale choice in this market, maintaining a sharp, professional look that holds value better than lighter or unconventional shades. For a buyer seeking the ultimate regional workhorse that commands respect on the road and provides total peace of mind through widespread parts availability, this Platinum trim is the definitive choice.

This Car vs Other 2022 Nissan Patrols

With 116,000 km, this vehicle sits at a typical usage level for a GCC-based Patrol, where 35,000–40,000 km per year is standard for many highway commuters. The black exterior offers a significant resale advantage in the UAE and wider Gulf market compared to niche colors, ensuring it remains highly liquid in the used market. Its mechanical suitability for the region's high-heat environment makes it a safer long-term investment than imported equivalents.

LE PLATINUM vs Lower Trims

The LE Platinum trim elevates the experience significantly over the Titanium by adding essential luxury features such as 22-inch machine-cut alloy wheels and a more premium grade of leather. GCC buyers will particularly value the inclusion of ventilated front seats and the larger infotainment screen, which are often the deciding factors at resale. It also features a superior 13-speaker Bose premium sound system and a full suite of safety tech that lower trims lack.

Nissan Patrol vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Toyota Land Cruiser LC300, the Patrol offers a smoother, naturally aspirated V8 power delivery that many local drivers prefer for predictable desert climbing and high-speed highway overtaking. Its massive 140-litre fuel tank provides a superior cruising range for long trips between emirates or across borders to Saudi Arabia and Oman. While the Chevrolet Tahoe offers similar space, the Patrol’s deep cultural heritage and specialized cooling systems give it an edge in the peak of the Gulf summer.

Running Costs & Resale

The 5.6L V8 is a robust engine designed for longevity, though it typically sees real-world fuel consumption of 16–18 L/100km in mixed GCC driving conditions. Maintenance is straightforward and highly accessible, with Nissan's authorized service network being one of the most extensive across the UAE, KSA, and Kuwait. This model enjoys one of the lowest depreciation rates in the region, typically retaining 60–70% of its value after three years due to its status as a regional icon.

Performance & Capability

The 400 hp V8 engine delivers a commanding 560 Nm of torque, allowing for effortless high-speed cruising and a verified 0–100 km/h time of approximately 6.6 seconds. The sophisticated All-Wheel Drive system features selectable terrain modes (Sand, On-road, Snow, Rock) that make it as capable in the Liwa dunes as it is comfortable on the E11 highway. With a ground clearance of 273 mm, it clears obstacles that would stop most family SUVs, making it a true dual-purpose vehicle for the GCC lifestyle.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the eight-seat layout offers genuine three-row usability, complete with a powerful tri-zone climate control system engineered specifically to combat 50°C summer temperatures. The Platinum trim includes a built-in refrigerator (cool box) in the center console, an essential feature for long desert drives. Cabin insulation is top-tier, featuring acoustic glass that keeps the interior quiet and cool even at high highway speeds.

Safety

This LE Platinum comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite, including Nissan Intelligent Mobility features like Intelligent Emergency Braking with pedestrian detection and Lane Departure Intervention. The 360-degree Intelligent Around View Monitor is particularly useful for maneuvering this large SUV into tight city parking spots. Additional standard systems include Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which are vital for safety on fast-moving multi-lane GCC highways.

The bottom line

This is the ideal opportunity for a family or executive buyer who needs a proven, GCC-spec luxury powerhouse that is ready for both high-end city arrivals and demanding desert weekends.
