Summary

This 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 Touring is a masterclass in purist engineering, pairing a high-revving naturally aspirated 4.0L engine with a rare 6-speed manual transmission. With just 2,982 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven significantly less than the 20,000 km typically expected for a car of this age in the GCC, representing a pristine collector-grade opportunity. The Guards Red exterior is a classic Porsche signature that holds strong resale appeal across the UAE and wider region. Unlike the standard GT3, the Touring package offers a discreet, wingless aesthetic that blends supercar performance with executive elegance. This GCC-spec example ensures full compatibility with regional service centers and local climate requirements.

This Car vs Other 2022 911s

With under 3,000 km of use, this GT3 Touring is in a different league compared to the typical 80,000 km+ found on average four-year-old sports cars in the GCC. The Guards Red finish is a high-demand heritage color in the local market, ensuring it stands out against the more common silver and white examples. Being a manual transmission GCC-spec model, it occupies a specific niche that enthusiasts and collectors in the region prioritize for long-term value.

GT3 TOURING vs Lower Trims

The GT3 Touring adds a motorsport-derived 4.0L naturally aspirated engine that revs to 9,000 rpm, a hardware feature absent in the turbocharged Carrera and Targa lines. It distinguishes itself from the standard GT3 by replacing the fixed rear wing with an automatically extending spoiler and featuring a full leather interior rather than Race-Tex. This trim also includes the specific GT-ratio manual gearbox and rear-axle steering as standard, providing a more mechanical and engaging drive for the UAE's open highways.

911 vs Segment Rivals

Compared to rivals like the Mercedes-AMG GT or the Lamborghini Huracán, the 911 GT3 Touring offers a unique naturally aspirated flat-six and manual gearbox combination that is increasingly rare in the segment. Its daily usability and cooling efficiency for the GCC summer surpass more temperamental mid-engine competitors. While others focus on flash, the 911 provides a more understated look while maintaining a larger fuel tank for cross-emirate trips.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the manual GT3 Touring is approximately 13.7 L/100km (WLTP), though stop-start traffic in cities like Dubai will see this rise. Service intervals are generally every 15,000 km or annually, with Porsche's extensive authorized network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia providing specialized care for GT models. Historically, the Touring trim has shown exceptional value retention in the GCC, often depreciating at a slower rate than the standard GT3 due to its limited production feel and purist appeal.

Performance & Capability

A top speed of 313 km/h and a 0–100 km/h time of 3.9 seconds demonstrate the raw capability of the 510 hp flat-six. The 6-speed manual transmission is shorter and lighter than previous generations, optimized for mechanical feel during high-speed highway shifts. Rear-wheel drive and rear-axle steering provide surgical precision for technical driving at the Dubai Autodrome or Yas Marina Circuit.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin features a driver-centric two-seat layout finished in premium leather, offering a more refined environment than the track-focused RS models. Porsche’s powerful air conditioning system is specifically designed to handle 45°C+ temperatures, ensuring the cabin stays chilled even during peak GCC summer. The Touring package also includes additional acoustic insulation, making long drives between Abu Dhabi and Dubai significantly more comfortable than in a winged GT3.

Safety

This GT3 Touring comes equipped with a high-performance braking system and advanced Porsche Stability Management (PSM) tuned specifically for the rear-wheel-drive layout. Standard safety features include multiple airbags and LED headlights with high-beam assist, which are essential for navigating unlit desert highways at night. The inclusion of rear-axle steering also acts as a safety benefit, increasing high-speed stability during sudden maneuvers.

The bottom line

For the purist seeking a collector-quality manual 911, this low-mileage GCC-spec GT3 Touring offers the perfect balance of raw motorsport DNA and sophisticated road presence.
