Summary

This 2020 Toyota Hilux GLS represents a standout opportunity to own the GCC’s most trusted workhorse with remarkably low mileage for its age. Averaging just 5,500 km per year, this vehicle has been driven significantly less than the regional annual average of 25,000 km, ensuring the mechanical components remain in exceptional condition. The white exterior is a high-demand choice in the UAE, providing both heat reflection and the strongest possible resale liquidity. As a GLS trim with a 2.7L engine and Four Wheel Drive, it delivers the perfect balance of daily urban efficiency and rugged weekend capability. For a GCC buyer, this is a turn-key solution backed by the region's most comprehensive parts and service infrastructure.

This Car vs Other 2020 Hiluxs

With only 33,000 km on the odometer, this Hilux has covered less than a quarter of the mileage typical for a six-year-old vehicle in the GCC market. While many 2020 models are now crossing the 150,000 km mark, this example offers a level of mechanical freshness that is rare in the segment. The clean white finish further enhances its appeal, as it is widely considered the best color for maintaining value in the local used market.

GLS vs Lower Trims

The GLS trim elevates the Hilux from a basic work tool to a comfortable daily driver by adding key features like an upgraded display audio system, premium fabric upholstery, and power-adjustable mirrors. Crucially for the GCC, the GLS includes a cooled glovebox—a highly valued feature during summer months—and enhanced cabin insulation that provides a quieter ride compared to the base GL models.

Hilux vs Segment Rivals

The Hilux leads the Mitsubishi L200 and Nissan Navara in terms of regional parts availability and authorized service density, making it the easiest pickup to maintain anywhere from Dubai to Salalah. Its 80-litre fuel tank provides a superior cruising range for long-distance desert drives, while its body-on-frame construction offers a level of torsional rigidity that rivals often struggle to match in extreme off-road conditions.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.7L diesel engine is optimized for the GCC’s high-sulfur fuel environments and offers a real-world combined consumption of approximately 8.5L/100km. Toyota’s legendary durability means service intervals are standard, and maintenance costs remain among the lowest in the pickup segment due to the vast availability of components. Historically, the Hilux GLS retains roughly 70-75% of its value after three years in the UAE market, significantly outperforming its American and European competitors.

Performance & Capability

Equipped with a robust 3,500 kg braked towing capacity, this Hilux is ready for heavy-duty hauling across the emirates. The 2.7L engine provides reliable torque for highway overtaking, while the selectable Four Wheel Drive system with a low-range transfer case allows for confident navigation through soft sand and rocky wadis. Its 216 mm ground clearance ensures you can clear obstacles that would stop most crossovers, making it a true dual-purpose vehicle.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat double-cab configuration is designed with the GCC climate in mind, featuring a high-output air conditioning system and dedicated rear cooling vents to keep all passengers comfortable in 45°C+ heat. The interior layout is functional and durable, featuring a digital clock, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, and a cooled center console for beverages. Acoustic glass helps isolate the cabin from road noise during long highway commutes between cities.

Safety

Safety is managed through a suite of standard active systems including Anti-lock Braking (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), and Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) which is essential for maintaining grip on sandy surfaces. The GLS trim also includes front airbags and three-point seatbelts for all five occupants, alongside tire pressure monitoring to ensure safety during high-temperature highway runs.

The bottom line

For the buyer who demands bulletproof reliability and class-leading resale value, this low-mileage GCC-spec Hilux is a rare find that is mechanically near-new and ready for work or play.
