Summary

This Land Cruiser represents a unique opportunity to own the LC300 generation with the time-tested 4.0L V6, a powertrain revered in the GCC for its mechanical simplicity and long-term durability. At 98,000 km, the mileage is slightly above the typical average for a four-year-old vehicle in the region, yet it remains well within the long-life envelope expected of a Toyota workhorse. The Silver exterior is a premier resale choice in the local market, offering excellent heat reflection and maintaining a professional look despite the dust of the desert. As a VXR trim, this specific listing bridges the gap between legendary off-road capability and executive-level cabin refinement. For a buyer looking for a reliable family flagship that holds its value better than almost any rival, this is the definitive GCC choice.

This Car vs Other 2022 Land Cruisers

While many 2022 models in the UAE and Saudi markets have been pushed into high-intensity use, this silver VXR presents as a well-maintained example of the LC300's debut generation. The mileage is slightly higher than the 20,000 km annual GCC average, but for a Land Cruiser, this often implies consistent highway use which is generally easier on the mechanical components than stop-start city traffic. Silver remains one of the top three most liquid colors for resale in the region, ensuring the vehicle remains a strong asset for its next owner.

VXR vs Lower Trims

Choosing the VXR trim over the EXR or GXR upgrades the ownership experience with premium leather upholstery and significantly enhanced cabin tech, including a 14-speaker JBL audio system. This trim also introduces essential GCC comfort features such as ventilated front seats and a more comprehensive ADAS safety suite including a 360-degree camera. While lower trims focus on utility, the VXR provides the acoustic glass and interior refinement necessary for long-distance cross-border drives in total comfort.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

The Land Cruiser LC300 leads rivals like the Nissan Patrol and Ford Expedition primarily through its unmatched resale liquidity and the widespread availability of parts across every corner of the GCC. Its 110-litre fuel tank provides a superior touring range for long desert highway stretches compared to many American competitors. Furthermore, its body-on-frame durability and high ground clearance ensure it remains the benchmark for those who actually intend to take their luxury SUV off the asphalt and into the dunes.

Running Costs & Resale

The 4.0L V6 is widely considered the most cost-effective Land Cruiser engine to maintain in the GCC, as its naturally aspirated design avoids the complexity of turbochargers in extreme heat. Fuel consumption averages approximately 10.6 to 12.1 L/100km depending on conditions, making it predictable for daily use across the UAE and beyond. With an authorized service network that is the densest in the region, maintenance is convenient in every major city from Riyadh to Muscat. Historically, this model retains roughly 85-90% of its value after three years, significantly outperforming European luxury SUV counterparts.

Performance & Capability

The 271 hp V6 engine provides smooth, linear power delivery that is perfectly suited for high-speed highway cruising and reliable sand-dune climbing. With a verified ground clearance of 235 mm and a wading depth of 700 mm, this SUV is engineered to handle extreme regional weather and terrain without hesitation. The selectable multi-terrain modes and full-time all-wheel drive allow for seamless transitions between the morning school run and a weekend camping trip in the Empty Quarter.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the VXR offers a spacious seven-seat configuration with multi-zone automatic climate control specifically tuned for the 45°C+ GCC summers. The inclusion of a cooled center console (cool box) is a regional essential for keeping refreshments chilled during long drives between Emirates. Passengers benefit from a quiet cabin thanks to superior insulation, while the driver enjoys the convenience of a modern infotainment system featuring wireless smartphone integration and a premium JBL sound experience.

Safety

This VXR is equipped with a comprehensive safety suite, including 10 airbags and advanced driver assistance systems like blind-spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control, which are vital for safety on fast-moving multi-lane highways. The 360-degree camera system makes maneuvering this full-size SUV in tight urban parking spaces effortless. Additionally, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Traction Control provide critical active safety when navigating slippery sand or gravel surfaces during off-road excursions.

The bottom line

This 2022 VXR is the ideal choice for a GCC family or executive who demands the prestige and reliability of the LC300 platform with the most trusted engine in the region. It stands as a sensible, high-residual-value investment that is equally at home on the streets of Dubai or the dunes of the desert.
