• 480 hp from a 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight-six
• 390 litres boot space

Summary

This 2023 BMW M2 represents the arrival of the G87 generation, featuring the formidable S58 engine shared with its larger M3 and M4 siblings. Finished in high-resale White, this example balances a purist rear-wheel-drive setup with the rapid shifts of an 8-speed automatic transmission. Its current mileage is consistent with GCC-style highway use, reflecting a car that has been driven as intended rather than sitting idle. For the enthusiast buyer, this model stands out by offering near-supercar performance in a compact, daily-usable coupe format. As one of the last purely combustion-powered M cars, it is a significant opportunity to own a future classic designed for the modern driver.

This Car vs Other 2023 M2s

With 50,000 km, this vehicle aligns with the higher-than-average annual mileage typically seen on GCC highways, where distances between major cities are long. The white exterior is the most preferred color for resale in the local market, offering better heat reflection and value retention than darker shades. As a Korean-spec model, it offers a high equipment level often identical in hardware to GCC variants, though buyers should confirm local service history.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

The M2 is a standalone high-performance model, meaning it effectively acts as the top-tier flagship of the 2 Series range. It adds the S58 twin-turbo engine, wide-body styling, and an Active M Differential over the M240i. Inside, this trim includes the BMW Curved Display with M-specific graphics and carbon fiber interior trim as standard, providing the premium cockpit experience GCC buyers demand.

M2 vs Segment Rivals

The M2 competes directly with the Porsche 718 Cayman and the Audi RS3, leading the group with its 480 hp output and a more practical 390-litre boot space. While the Porsche is a strict two-seater, the M2 offers four-seat versatility and a more modern infotainment suite via BMW iDrive 8. Its front-engine, rear-drive layout provides a traditional sports car balance that remains a benchmark for the segment.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel consumption is rated at approximately 10.0 L/100km (WLTP combined), though real-world figures in GCC stop-start traffic may be higher. The M2 is known as the strongest resale performer in the BMW lineup, often retaining over 65% of its value after three years in the local market. Authorized service centers are widely available across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring parts and technical support are never far away.

Performance & Capability

The 480 hp S58 engine propels the M2 to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds, with a standard limited top speed of 250 km/h. Its rear-wheel-drive chassis is enhanced by M Adaptive Suspension, allowing the driver to toggle between a compliant highway ride and a firm, track-ready setting. This versatility makes it ideal for both the smooth multi-lane highways of the Emirates and spirited weekend drives.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin features a driver-centric 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch central touchscreen housed behind a single curved glass panel. Triple-zone climate control and dedicated rear vents are essential for maintaining comfort during the extreme GCC summer months. Standard Vernasca leather sport seats with adjustable bolsters ensure a high level of long-distance comfort for cross-border trips.

Safety

This M2 comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including Front Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, and Park Distance Control. The stability and traction control systems are specifically tuned for high-performance driving, providing a safety net that is useful on both sandy highway shoulders and wet surfaces. Six airbags and a high-strength chassis provide top-tier passive protection for all four occupants.

The bottom line

This M2 is the ideal choice for a GCC enthusiast seeking a late-model performance icon that offers superior resale strength and daily usability. It represents a rare chance to secure a G87-generation M car in a market-preferred color at a competitive entry point.
