Summary

This 2023 Ferrari SF90 Spider offers a near-new entry point into the pinnacle of Maranello’s hybrid performance, featuring the highly desirable Rosso Corsa exterior that ensures maximum resale liquidity in the GCC. With just 9,000 km, this example has been driven sparingly compared to the typical 20,000 km annual average for the region, preserving its mechanical integrity and factory finish. The Spider trim combines the raw 986 hp output of the Stradale with a retractable hardtop that transforms the driving experience for the UAE’s cooler winter months. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it benefits from a valid local warranty and full compatibility with regional service centers, a critical factor for long-term value retention. This is an investment-grade supercar that balances extreme track-derived technology with the versatility of silent electric-only residential cruising.

This Car vs Other 2023 SF90s

With only 9,000 km on the odometer, this SF90 Spider sits well below the average mileage for 2023 models in the GCC market, where highway-heavy use often results in much higher wear. The iconic red finish is the strongest possible resale color for a Ferrari in the region, providing a distinct market advantage over neutral or non-traditional tones. Being a GCC-spec car further elevates its value over imported European or American units, ensuring seamless service history and warranty support.

SPIDER vs Lower Trims

The Spider trim introduces a sophisticated Retractable Hard Top (RHT) that opens or closes in just 14 seconds, even while moving, without compromising the car's aerodynamic efficiency. Unlike the fixed-roof Stradale, the Spider features an electric rear window that can be lowered independently to allow the V8's intake note into the cabin even with the roof up. This trim also retains the same 1,000 CV (986 hp) output and all-wheel-drive system as the coupe, ensuring no performance loss for the open-top experience.

SF90 vs Segment Rivals

The SF90 Spider leads its class with a sophisticated three-motor PHEV system that provides all-wheel-drive traction, a feature not found on the rear-wheel-drive McLaren Artura. While rivals like the Lamborghini Revuelto focus on V12 drama, the SF90 offers superior precision through its Torque Vectoring Control (RAC-e) which specifically aids handling on fast-moving GCC interchanges. Its ability to provide 25 km of silent electric range (WLTP) makes it a more versatile daily supercar for quiet residential areas compared to non-hybrid competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel efficiency is aided by the hybrid system, which helps mitigate the high consumption typically seen in stop-start Dubai or Riyadh traffic. This model falls under Ferrari's 7-Year Genuine Maintenance program, which covers all scheduled annual services at authorized centers across the GCC, significantly lowering ownership costs for the first several years. While all hypercars face initial depreciation, the Spider variant holds a higher percentage of its value compared to the Stradale, particularly when maintained with a full local service history.

Performance & Capability

The SF90 Spider delivers a staggering 0–100 km/h time of 2.5 seconds, powered by a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 paired with three electric motors. The all-wheel-drive system ensures this power is accessible even on the dusty or sand-swept surfaces often encountered on regional highways. Drivers can toggle through four eManettino modes, ranging from silent eDrive to a high-performance Qualify mode that prioritizes maximum power for high-speed runs at the Dubai Autodrome or Yas Marina Circuit.

Comfort & Cabin

The two-seat cockpit is a digital-forward space featuring a 16-inch curved HD display and haptic steering wheel controls designed for 'eyes on the road' operation. For the GCC climate, the air conditioning system is engineered to maintain cabin temperatures even with the top down in moderate heat, while the insulation of the hardtop provides excellent heat rejection during the peak summer. The seats are positioned low for a racing feel, yet offer enough refinement for long-distance drives between emirates.

Safety

The SF90 Spider features advanced electronic Side Slip Control (eSSC) which monitors the car's dynamic state in real time to optimize stability. The regenerative braking system works in tandem with carbon-ceramic discs to provide immense stopping power, essential for high-speed GCC highway driving. The all-wheel-drive system acts as a safety net, providing superior mechanical grip during sudden maneuvers or in the rare event of wet road conditions.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec SF90 Spider is the definitive choice for a buyer wanting maximum performance and open-top versatility without the complications of a non-regional import.
