Summary

This three-year-old Ranger Raptor is a premier example of Ford's high-speed desert specialist, featuring a mileage count that sits comfortably below the GCC annual average for this segment. Finished in Blue, a color with strong resale demand in the UAE, this truck represents the peak of mid-size pickup performance without the showroom wait. The 3.0L V6 EcoBoost provides the mechanical refinement needed for long highway hauls between emirates, while the reinforced chassis is built for serious weekend exploration. For a buyer in the region, this listing offers a well-maintained entry into the Raptor family with the peace of mind that comes from a GCC-spec vehicle.

This Car vs Other 2023 Ford Rangers

With only 22,811 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven significantly less than the typical 60,000–75,000 km expected for a three-year-old truck in the GCC. The Blue exterior is a highly desirable shade that maintains better resale appeal than experimental colors in the local market. Its low usage suggests it has spent more time as a lifestyle vehicle than a heavy-duty workhorse.

RAPTOR vs Lower Trims

The Raptor trim is a radical departure from the Wildtrak, featuring a wider track and a specialized suspension system with 2.5-inch Fox Racing shocks. Inside, you get trim-exclusive magnesium paddle shifters and performance seats inspired by jet fighters, alongside the essential 360-degree camera system GCC drivers rely on for tight urban parking. Most importantly, it adds the dedicated Baja drive mode, which recalibrates the powertrain specifically for high-speed sand driving.

Ranger vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Toyota Hilux GR-Sport, the Ranger Raptor offers a more sophisticated twin-turbo V6 petrol engine that delivers superior high-speed stability on UAE highways. While rivals often rely on aftermarket kits for off-roading, the Raptor’s reinforced frame and factory-fitted underbody protection are engineered to handle extreme summer heat and desert ruts out of the box. Its 12-inch portrait touchscreen also leads the segment in cabin technology and ease of use.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this high-output V6 typically averages around 11.5L/100km, though this will increase during stop-start traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. Service intervals are generally every 10,000 km or 6 months at authorized Ford centers like Al Tayer or Premier Motors, which maintain a strong presence across the UAE. This model holds its value exceptionally well in the GCC, with specialized performance trims like the Raptor depreciating slower than standard utility pickups.

Performance & Capability

The 392 hp output allows for effortless overtaking on fast-moving highways and enough torque to conquer steep dunes with ease. With 272 mm of ground clearance and a 32-degree approach angle, it is purpose-built for the diverse terrain of the Emirates and Oman. The selectable All-Wheel Drive system includes a front differential lock, a feature rarely found in mid-size trucks, ensuring maximum traction in deep sand or gravel wadis.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed to keep five passengers comfortable in the extreme GCC summer, featuring a powerful dual-zone climate control system and dedicated rear vents. Acoustic glass helps isolate the interior from road noise during long cross-border drives, while the Bang & Olufsen sound system provides premium audio quality. The interior is finished with Raptor-specific Code Orange accents, giving the cabin a sporty, high-end feel that matches its exterior aggression.

Safety

This trim comes equipped with a comprehensive ADAS suite, including adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist, which are vital for safety on long desert highway stretches. Blind-spot monitoring is standard, providing essential coverage during high-speed lane changes in busy city traffic. Additional safety features like autonomous emergency braking and a full array of curtain airbags provide peace of mind for both family trips and off-road adventures.

The bottom line

This is the ideal choice for a GCC enthusiast seeking a low-mileage, performance-ready truck that balances daily suburban comfort with professional-grade desert capability.
