Summary

This 2023 Hyundai Palisade Premium offers a sophisticated blend of family logistics and long-range comfort, ideal for the GCC's highway-heavy lifestyle. As a high-trim Premium model, it bridges the gap between everyday utility and executive refinement, featuring captain's chairs that transform the second row into a first-class experience. With its white exterior—a high-demand color for local resale and heat reflection—this SUV is perfectly suited for the region's climate. The 3.8L V6 provides effortless overtaking power for trans-emirate drives while the All-Wheel Drive system ensures stability during weekend getaways. For families seeking a modern, refreshed interior without the flagship price tag, this specific listing represents a highly logical and well-equipped choice.

This Car vs Other 2023 Palisades

At 3 years old, this Palisade has covered 105,000 km, which is slightly above the typical GCC annual average of 25,000 km but remains well within the mechanical lifespan of Hyundai's robust V6 powertrain. The white exterior is a strategic advantage in the local used market, consistently holding higher resale value due to its superior heat management. While the mileage reflects active use, the 2023 model year refresh ensures you are getting the most current styling and updated cabin technology available for this generation.

PREMIUM vs Lower Trims

The Premium trim significantly upgrades the ownership experience over the SE and SEL models by introducing high-value features like the 360-degree surround-vision camera and a fully digital 12.3-inch instrument cluster. Crucially for the GCC summer, it adds ventilated second-row seats and a heated steering wheel, providing comfort that lower trims lack. You also benefit from larger 20-inch alloy wheels and a premium audio system that noticeably elevates the cabin atmosphere.

Palisade vs Segment Rivals

Cross-shopped against the Kia Telluride and Honda Pilot, the Palisade leads with its distinct, vertically-stacked LED lighting signature and a highly intuitive cabin layout. It offers superior third-row accessibility thanks to the Premium trim's captain chairs, making it more practical for adult passengers than many rivals. The 3.8L Atkinson-cycle V6 is widely regarded for its smooth power delivery, providing a more relaxed highway cruise compared to the turbocharged four-cylinders found in some competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 3.8L AWD powertrain typically averages around 10.7L/100km on the highway, though GCC city traffic will see higher figures. Hyundai's extensive authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman ensures parts are readily available and affordable. As a Korean-spec vehicle, it offers a high equipment level; however, buyers should verify service compatibility with local dealers, as GCC-spec models often carry a slight premium at resale for their specialized cooling systems.

Performance & Capability

The 295 hp V6 engine enables a smooth 0-100 km/h sprint in approximately 7.8 seconds, ensuring confident merging onto fast-moving highways like Sheikh Zayed Road. The HTRAC All-Wheel Drive system includes selectable terrain modes, providing extra security on gravel tracks or during occasional rain-slicked winter conditions. With a braked towing capacity of 2,268 kg, it is also fully capable of hauling light trailers or jet skis for weekend adventures.

Comfort & Cabin

The 7-seat configuration with second-row captain's chairs creates a spacious 'walk-through' cabin that is perfect for families with older children. The tri-zone climate control is specifically engineered to maintain cool temperatures even in 45°C+ summer heat, supported by dedicated rear vents for all three rows. Premium interior materials and acoustic glass insulation keep the cabin remarkably quiet, shielding passengers from road noise during long cross-border road trips.

Safety

This Premium trim comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite, including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist and Blind-Spot View Monitor, which displays a live video feed in the digital cluster when changing lanes. Adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist make long desert highway drives significantly less fatiguing. The 360-degree camera system is particularly useful in tight urban parking scenarios common in Dubai and Riyadh, providing a bird's-eye view of the vehicle's surroundings.

The bottom line

This Palisade is the ideal choice for a growing family that prioritizes cabin technology and passenger comfort, offering a high-spec interior in the GCC's most resilient resale color.
