Summary

This 2023 Tucson is a standout choice in the GCC used market, offering the preferred White exterior which commands high resale demand across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. With 60,000 km on the clock, its mileage is perfectly average for its age in this region, where long highway commutes are the standard. The SMART trim provides a refined balance of modern design and essential tech, making it a more sophisticated daily driver than base-spec alternatives. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it features the cooling and filtration systems necessary for the local climate, ensuring reliable performance in extreme heat. For a buyer seeking a modern, fuel-efficient crossover with a strong service network, this listing represents a very predictable and low-risk investment.

This Car vs Other 2023 Tucsons

With 60,000 km, this vehicle aligns with the typical GCC usage pattern of 20,000 km per year, indicating it has likely seen consistent highway use between emirates. The White exterior is widely considered the safest choice for resale in the local market, as it reflects heat better and remains the most searched color for pre-owned SUVs. Compared to higher-mileage examples, this Tucson maintains its mechanical integrity while offering a significant price advantage over near-new units.

SMART vs Lower Trims

The SMART trim steps up from the base Comfort level by adding key visual and functional upgrades that local buyers value, including larger alloy wheels and enhanced interior finishes. It often includes features like the 8-inch touchscreen with wireless smartphone integration and a rear-view camera, which are frequently missed in lower specifications. These additions make the SMART trim much easier to trade in or sell later in the GCC market compared to entry-level 'fleet' trims.

Tucson vs Segment Rivals

The Tucson leads competitors like the Toyota RAV4 and Nissan X-Trail in terms of its daring, modern design language and cabin tech for the price point. While rivals are often cross-shopped, the Hyundai offers a more compliant ride on city streets and a larger boot capacity than several European alternatives in the same class. Its service network is one of the most extensive in the GCC, ensuring parts are affordable and easily accessible in every major city from Dubai to Riyadh.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.0L engine is highly efficient, averaging approximately 7.8 to 8.2 L/100km, which is ideal for the GCC's stop-start urban traffic. Service intervals are standard at 10,000 km, and with Hyundai's massive regional presence, authorized centers are plentiful, keeping maintenance costs predictable. The Tucson typically experiences a depreciation rate of roughly 10-12% annually in the UAE, retaining its value better than most American or European crossovers in this segment.

Performance & Capability

Driven by a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine producing 156 hp, this Tucson is optimized for smooth, linear power delivery during highway cruising. While it is a Front-Wheel Drive crossover best suited for paved roads, its ground clearance allows for confident navigation over speed bumps and gravel tracks. It achieves a factory-declared top speed of 181 km/h, ensuring it remains stable and composed at the higher speed limits typical of UAE and KSA motorways.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is designed for family logistics, seating five comfortably with a dedicated rear cooling vent system essential for GCC summers. With 539 litres of boot space, it easily handles grocery runs or weekend road trips, while the flat-folding rear seats expand cargo capacity to over 1,800 litres. The cabin is well-insulated against road noise, providing a quiet environment for long-distance drives across the borders.

Safety

This Tucson comes equipped with standard safety essentials including multiple airbags, Electronic Stability Control, and an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) for secure stopping on sandy or wet surfaces. The inclusion of a rear-view camera and parking sensors makes navigating tight city parking much safer. Its structural integrity is proven, with the generation earning top safety ratings from international bodies like ANCAP and Euro NCAP.

The bottom line

Perfect for the practical GCC family or professional, this GCC-spec Tucson combines the region's favorite color with a proven powertrain and a highly reliable service history.
