Summary

This 2023 LX600 presents a compelling opportunity for a buyer seeking the ultimate blend of Japanese reliability and modern performance. With mileage that sits comfortably below the typical GCC annual average for flagship SUVs, this vehicle retains the tight, factory-fresh feel expected of a late-model Lexus. The white exterior is the gold standard for resale value in the region, offering superior heat reflection and maintaining its appeal across the second-hand market. Transitioning from the older V8 to the high-torque twin-turbo V6, this model offers a significant leap in efficiency and responsiveness that is perfect for both city commuting in Dubai and cross-border highway journeys. As an American spec vehicle, it offers high-end luxury features at a more accessible entry point than its GCC-spec counterparts. For the driver who demands a premium 7-seater that can handle the mall run and the desert landscape with equal composure, this LX600 is currently one of the most balanced options available on the market.

This Car vs Other 2023 LX600s

Compared to many 2023 models in the region which are often used for extreme long-distance commuting between emirates, this vehicle has been driven quite modestly, averaging roughly 18,000 km per year. This is notably lower than the GCC typical benchmark of 25,000 km, ensuring less wear on the suspension components and interior surfaces. The white paintwork is a strategic choice for our climate; it hides dust far better than darker shades and is the most sought-after color for maintaining high residual value in the UAE and Saudi markets. While many LX600s on the market have seen heavy duty, the condition of this specific unit suggests a life spent primarily on paved surfaces. Choosing a 2023 model over an earlier production year also ensures you are benefiting from the latest software refinements Lexus applied to the infotainment system after its initial launch.

Not specified vs Lower Trims

Stepping into the LX600 guarantees a level of refinement that leaves base-level luxury SUVs behind. Even in its standard configuration, this model includes the Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 and the high-resolution dual-screen interface that manages everything from climate to off-road telemetry. In this tier, owners enjoy the Mark Levinson Reference Surround Sound system, which is widely considered one of the best audio experiences in the automotive world, featuring 25 speakers tuned specifically for the LX cabin. Unlike lower-tier SUVs in the segment, the LX600 provides ventilated seating for both the front and middle rows, a critical feature for enduring the peak summer months in the Middle East. The power-folding third row is also standard here, allowing you to switch from a seven-passenger family hauler to a cargo-ready expedition vehicle at the touch of a button.

LX600 vs Segment Rivals

The LX600 competes directly with the Cadillac Escalade and the Range Rover, yet it carves out a unique niche by offering legendary mechanical reliability that rivals often struggle to match. While American rivals focus on pure scale, the Lexus offers a more maneuverable footprint that is easier to park in busy city centers while still providing a generous 110-liter fuel capacity for long-range desert travel. Its suspension system is specifically engineered to damp out high-frequency vibrations common on gravel roads, a clear advantage over the stiffer pride-of-ownership setups found in European competitors. Furthermore, the cooling system in the LX is famously overbuilt for the Middle East, maintaining ice-cold cabin temperatures even when the external environment exceeds 50 degrees Celsius. This reliability-first engineering makes it the preferred choice for those who frequently travel to remote areas where service support might be limited.

Running Costs & Resale

Ownership of an LX600 is defined by the strongest resale value in the luxury SUV segment across the entire GCC. Historically, the LX nameplate depreciates at roughly 8-10% annually, which is significantly better than the 15-18% seen in its European counterparts. Real-world fuel consumption for the twin-turbo 3.5L V6 is remarkably improved over the previous generation, achieving approximately 11-12 liters per 100km on the highway, making those long drives from Riyadh to Dubai much more economical. As an American spec vehicle, parts availability remains excellent across the UAE and the wider region, as the mechanical underpinnings are shared with global variants. While it may not carry the local dealer warranty, the sheer abundance of specialized Lexus service centers in every major GCC city ensures that maintenance is straightforward and affordable. This model remains a 'safe money' investment for any luxury car buyer.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this LX600 is the 409-horsepower twin-turbo V6, which delivers a massive 650 Nm of torque, allowing it to reach 100 km/h in just under 7 seconds—an impressive feat for a vehicle of this size. This power is managed through a seamless 10-speed automatic transmission that ensures you are always in the optimal power band for overtaking on fast-moving highways like the E11. For those who venture off the tarmac, the LX is equipped with a genuine low-range transfer case and Multi-Terrain Select, allowing it to glide over soft sand with the same ease it displays on asphalt. The active height control system provides significant ground clearance for tackling dunes, yet lowers the vehicle for easy entry and better aerodynamics at high speeds. With a towing capacity of up to 3,600 kg, it is also perfectly suited for hauling boats or trailers for weekend adventures.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the LX600 is a sanctuary of quietness, thanks to extensive acoustic glass and active noise cancellation that filters out the roar of the desert wind. The seven-seat layout is versatile, with the second row providing ample legroom for adults and dedicated climate zones to ensure everyone stays cool during the heat of the day. The dual-display setup allows the driver to keep navigation active on the top screen while managing vehicle settings or off-road cameras on the lower 7-inch screen simultaneously. Superior leather upholstery and meticulous Japanese ‘Takumi’ craftsmanship are evident in every stitch, creating a tactile experience that feels more durable than many other luxury brands. For family use, the inclusion of multiple USB-C ports in every row and a large cool-box in the center console makes it the ultimate vehicle for long-distance road trips.

Safety

Safety in the LX600 is comprehensive, featuring the Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 as a standard inclusion. This suite provides Pre-Collision Systems with pedestrian and cyclist detection, which is vital in congested urban environments. On the open highways, the All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and Lane Tracing Assist significantly reduce driver fatigue by maintaining a safe distance from other vehicles and keeping the SUV centered in its lane. The 360-degree Panoramic View Monitor is particularly helpful in the GCC, providing a bird’s-eye view to navigate tight parking spots or to spot obstacles when driving over crests in the dunes. Additionally, ten airbags are strategically placed throughout the cabin to protect passengers in all three rows, providing peace of mind for family-oriented buyers.

The bottom line

This LX600 is the perfect choice for a savvy buyer who wants the prestige and capability of a flagship Lexus without the premium of a new showroom price. Its combination of low mileage and the high-resale white exterior makes it one of the smartest luxury SUV purchases currently available in the UAE.
