Summary

This 2023 Nissan Pathfinder SV represents a smart buy for GCC families, offering the highly desirable eight-seat configuration and a crisp white exterior that maximizes resale value in the local market. With 62,000 km, it sits right at the average for a two-year-old vehicle in the region, suggesting it has been used primarily for the long-distance highway commutes it was designed for. The SV trim strikes the perfect balance for the UAE climate, adding essential features like remote engine start with intelligent climate control to pre-cool the cabin before you enter. As a GCC-spec model, it benefits from the region's most extensive authorized service network, ensuring peace of mind from Abu Dhabi to Muscat. This generation’s shift to a smooth 9-speed automatic makes it a significantly more refined highway cruiser than its predecessors.

This Car vs Other 2023 Pathfinders

At 62,000 km, this vehicle’s mileage is typical for a GCC-based SUV, where highway driving between emirates quickly adds up. The white exterior is the most sought-after color in the regional used market, offering better heat reflection and significantly higher value retention than darker shades. Choosing a GCC-spec model over international imports ensures the cooling system and AC are optimized for 45°C+ summers.

SV vs Lower Trims

The SV trim is a significant step up from the base S model, introducing ProPILOT Assist for easier long-distance driving on the E11. It adds the critical Remote Engine Start system, allowing you to cool the interior from your office or home. You also gain a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and heated exterior mirrors, which are surprisingly useful during the humid morning fog common in the Emirates.

Pathfinder vs Segment Rivals

The Pathfinder leads rivals like the Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander with a superior 2,722 kg towing capacity, making it the better choice for hauling jet skis or camping trailers. Its EZ FLEX seating system allows for easier access to the third row compared to the Ford Explorer, even with child seats installed. The transition to a 9-speed automatic gives it a more traditional, robust feel during highway overtaking than CVT-equipped competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Nissan enjoys one of the strongest resale footprints in the GCC, with Pathfinders typically retaining roughly 80% of their value after two years. Fuel consumption averages 10.2 L/100km on the highway, making it an efficient choice for cross-country trips. Maintenance is straightforward with 10,000 km service intervals and a massive network of authorized centers across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, keeping long-term ownership costs predictable.

Performance & Capability

The 3.5L V6 engine delivers a verified 0–100 km/h time of 7.5 seconds, providing confident power for merging onto fast-moving Dubai highways. With the Intelligent 4x4 system and selectable terrain modes, it handles sand and gravel tracks with ease during weekend desert escapes. The 9-speed automatic transmission is a standout, offering crisp shifts and improved durability for the high-temperature driving conditions of the Middle East.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the eight-seat layout provides genuine utility for large families, featuring a 60/40-split folding second row that slides for customized legroom. The tri-zone automatic climate control is powerful enough to reach the third row, a necessity for GCC summers. Acoustic glass and improved insulation ensure the cabin remains a quiet sanctuary, filtering out road noise during high-speed cruising.

Safety

Safety is a priority with the Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite included as standard, featuring Automatic Emergency Braking and Blind Spot Warning. The SV trim further enhances safety with ProPILOT Assist, which combines steering assist and adaptive cruise control to reduce driver fatigue on long desert stretches. It also features Intelligent Lane Intervention, which is vital for maintaining safety on wide, multi-lane regional highways.

The bottom line

This Pathfinder is the ideal choice for a growing family that needs eight seats and reliable GCC performance without the premium price of a new model. It is a turn-key solution for anyone prioritizing local resale strength and regional service support.
