Summary

This 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser VXR represents the peak of the 300-series, combining a low-mileage profile with the region's most coveted luxury specification. As a two-year-old vehicle with just 2,687 km, it is virtually indistinguishable from new, offering a significant opportunity to bypass showroom waiting lists. The twin-turbo V6 provides a massive leap in performance and highway efficiency over older V8 models, while the silver exterior remains a top-tier choice for resale and heat management. For a GCC buyer, this VXR is the benchmark asset, blending legendary desert capability with flagship cabin tech that holds its value better than any rival in the segment.

This Car vs Other 2024 Land Cruisers

At just 2,687 km, this vehicle's mileage is exceptionally low for a two-year-old car in the GCC, where average annual use typically reaches 20,000 km. It presents as a collector-quality example or a 'new' car alternative. The silver finish is one of the three most popular resale colors in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring high demand and value retention in the local used market.

VXR vs Lower Trims

The VXR trim is the flagship luxury tier, adding essential GCC comfort features over the GXR such as ventilated second-row seats and a four-zone climate control system. Technology is significantly upgraded with a 14-speaker JBL premium audio system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 3D Multi-Terrain Monitor that provides 360-degree visibility during technical off-roading or tight urban parking.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

While the Nissan Patrol offers a plusher on-road ride, the Land Cruiser 300 leads the segment in long-term durability and resale value, typically retaining 10-15% more of its value after five years. Its 110-litre fuel tank provides a superior cruising range for cross-border GCC travel compared to most European luxury SUVs, while its body-on-frame construction remains the standard for genuine desert reliability.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.5L twin-turbo powertrain delivers a combined fuel consumption of approximately 12.1 L/100km, a notable improvement for city stop-start traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. As a GCC-spec Toyota, it benefits from the region’s most extensive authorized service network, with major centers available in every Emirate and across the Saudi borders. Historically, the Land Cruiser 300 maintains the highest residual value of any full-size SUV in the Gulf market.

Performance & Capability

The high-output 409 hp engine enables a 0-100 km/h sprint in roughly 6.7 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power on high-speed UAE motorways. Its off-road hardware is unrivaled, featuring Multi-Terrain Select and Crawl Control to navigate deep sand dunes with confidence. The standard 235 mm ground clearance and all-wheel-drive system ensure this flagship can transition from executive commuting to desert expeditions without compromise.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat VXR cabin is designed specifically for the extreme Gulf climate, featuring high-performance air conditioning and ventilated seating for both front and middle-row passengers. Refinement is prioritized with acoustic glass and premium leather upholstery throughout. Practicality is enhanced by a power-operated tailgate and a cooled center console box, perfect for keeping beverages chilled during long summer drives.

Safety

This VXR comes equipped with the full Toyota Safety Sense suite, including Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and Lane Tracing Assist for relaxed highway driving. Additional standard features like Blind Spot Monitoring and the 360-degree Panoramic View Monitor are particularly useful for navigating large SUVs in busy metropolitan traffic. A comprehensive airbag system and advanced stability control provide maximum protection for families on any terrain.

The bottom line

For the serious GCC buyer, this 2024 VXR is a rare chance to own a flagship Land Cruiser with delivery-mileage feel and the region's best resale profile.
