Summary

This 2024 Ford Everest XLT is a prime example of the next-generation family SUV that has become a favorite across the GCC for its mix of refined tech and rugged capability. At two years old with 54,996 km, its usage aligns with the high-mileage highway lifestyle typical of the region, ensuring it has been regularly exercised rather than sitting idle in the heat. The white exterior is the most sought-after color in the UAE and Saudi markets for its ability to reflect solar heat and maintain superior resale value. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it features the heavy-duty cooling systems essential for 45°C+ summers, offering a level of reliability that non-regional imports cannot match. For a buyer needing a seven-seater that transitions seamlessly from city commutes to weekend desert camping, this Everest is a standout choice.

This Car vs Other 2024 Everests

With 54,996 km over two years, this vehicle sits at an average mileage for the GCC, where 25,000 km per year is standard due to long-distance highway travel between Emirates. The white finish provides a significant advantage for local ownership, as it is the most heat-efficient and easiest to maintain color in dusty conditions. Being a GCC-spec model ensures full compatibility with local service centers and a higher valuation at trade-in compared to American or European imports.

XLT vs Lower Trims

The XLT trim provides a significant upgrade over the base XLS, most notably replacing the smaller display with a massive 12-inch vertical touchscreen running the latest SYNC 4A interface. It adds essential GCC comforts such as dual-zone climate control with dedicated rear vents and premium upholstery that is more durable for family use. Drivers also benefit from the addition of keyless entry with push-button start and enhanced exterior styling including C-Clamp LED signature lighting.

Everest vs Segment Rivals

The Everest leads rivals like the Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Montero Sport by offering a more modern, car-like interior while maintaining a superior 3,500 kg towing capacity. Its 80-liter fuel tank is specifically suited for long desert highway hauls, providing a longer range between stops than many crossovers in this class. Furthermore, the inclusion of a 12-inch digital cockpit sets a higher standard for technology that competitors struggle to match at this price point.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.0L EcoBoost engine averages around 10–12 L/100km depending on GCC traffic conditions, proving efficient for a seven-seat SUV. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km or 6 months at authorized centers like Al Tayer Motors or Premier Motors, which maintain an extensive parts network across the UAE and Oman. The Everest holds its value well in the local market, benefiting from Ford's strong regional presence and the high demand for body-on-frame 4x4s.

Performance & Capability

Boasting a 3,500 kg braked towing capacity, the Everest is a powerhouse for hauling trailers or boats across the Emirates. Its 200 hp engine is paired with a smooth 10-speed automatic transmission that excels at highway overtaking and maintaining momentum on soft sand. With 229 mm of ground clearance and an 800 mm wading depth, it is fully equipped for weekend adventures in Wadi Bih or navigating unexpected flooded city streets during the rainy season.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for seven passengers, featuring a flexible seating arrangement that offers a flat load floor for cargo when the third row is folded. A powerful GCC-spec air conditioning system ensures all three rows stay cool even in peak July heat, supported by dedicated roof-mounted vents for rear occupants. The interior is quiet and well-insulated, providing a sanctuary-like experience during long drives from Dubai to Abu Dhabi or Muscat.

Safety

This Everest comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including six airbags and advanced electronic stability control tuned for both pavement and gravel. Standard features like a high-definition rearview camera, front and rear parking sensors, and cruise control make navigating busy metropolitan areas safer and less fatiguing. The body-on-frame construction provides a robust safety cell, which contributed to its high safety ratings in international testing.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec Everest XLT is the ideal match for a family seeking a modern, tech-forward 4x4 that hasn't lost its rugged soul. Its white exterior and local regional specs make it a safe investment for long-term ownership and future resale.
