Summary

This 2024 Ford Everest XLS is a compelling modern alternative to traditional SUVs, offering a perfect balance of low age and reliable mechanicals for the GCC market. Its silver exterior is a top-tier choice for heat reflection and high resale demand across the UAE and wider region. Built on a rugged body-on-frame chassis shared with the Ranger, it provides genuine off-road capability while maintaining a family-friendly 7-seat configuration. For a GCC buyer, this specific listing represents a significant saving over new showroom prices while retaining the majority of its useful life and manufacturer-backed durability.

This Car vs Other 2024 Everests

With 71,644 km, this Everest has been used primarily for the long-distance highway commutes typical of the GCC, ensuring the 10-speed transmission and EcoBoost engine are well-settled. While the mileage is slightly higher than a city-only vehicle, it is well within the expected range for a 2024 model in a region where annual averages often reach 25,000 km. The silver finish provides a distinct advantage at resale, as it is one of the most sought-after colors in the local used market due to its ease of maintenance.

XLS vs Lower Trims

As the foundational trim for the next-generation Everest, the XLS provides all the essential hardware including the full-time AWD system and the powerful 2.3L EcoBoost engine. It standardizes the 8-inch digital instrument cluster and a large portrait-oriented SYNC 4A touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. While higher trims add leather and larger wheels, the XLS is preferred by practical buyers for its durable fabric interior and 18-inch wheels that offer a more comfortable ride on varied GCC road surfaces.

Everest vs Segment Rivals

The Everest leads rivals like the Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Montero Sport in sheer cabin technology and turbocharged power delivery. Its 80-litre fuel tank provides a superior range for cross-border desert trips or long drives between Dubai and Riyadh compared to smaller-capacity competitors. Additionally, the Ford's 2.3L EcoBoost engine offers significantly more horsepower than the naturally aspirated units found in the Nissan Xterra, making highway overtaking much safer.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this 2.3L powertrain averages approximately 9.1L/100km, which is efficient for a body-on-frame 4WD in GCC stop-start traffic. Ford's authorized service network, including Al Tayer in the UAE and Al Jazirah in KSA, ensures parts and expertise are readily available across the region. While Japanese rivals traditionally hold value slightly better, the new-generation Everest shows strong 3-year retention due to its modern tech suite and high demand for 7-seat family vehicles.

Performance & Capability

The 2.3L EcoBoost engine delivers 296 hp, providing effortless acceleration and a sub-9 second 0-100 km/h time that rivals many V6 engines in the segment. With a 229 mm ground clearance and a selectable 4WD system, it is fully equipped for weekend desert excursions or navigating sandy wadis. The 10-speed automatic transmission is specifically tuned for GCC conditions, ensuring the engine remains in the optimal power band during high-temperature highway cruises.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is a dedicated 7-seater sanctuary designed to stay quiet even at highway speeds, thanks to improved acoustic insulation. GCC-essential features include a powerful climate control system with dedicated rear vents to ensure all three rows remain cool during summer months. The flat-folding rear seats provide versatile cargo space, while the portrait touchscreen serves as a high-tech hub for navigation and entertainment during long family road trips.

Safety

Safety is a priority with 6 standard airbags and a 5-star ANCAP safety rating. The XLS trim includes essential driver aids such as a rear-view camera, rear parking sensors, and Electronic Stability Control with Rollover Mitigation, which is vital for high-profile SUVs on fast-moving UAE highways. Hill Start Assist and Traction Control come standard, providing extra security when navigating steep dunes or gravel tracks.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer seeking a nearly new, 7-seat SUV with modern tech and proven off-road DNA, this Everest XLS offers exceptional utility and high resale potential in a region-optimized silver finish.
