Summary

This 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Comfort offers a significant opportunity for GCC families, combining the model's radical new boxy redesign with the region's preferred silver exterior for high resale value. Having covered 43,907 km in its first year, it is well-suited to the GCC's highway-heavy driving culture and remains mechanically fresh within its early life cycle. The 2.5L powertrain provides a balanced mix of efficiency and reliable naturally aspirated performance, avoiding the complexity of turbo systems for long-term ownership. For a buyer in the UAE or Saudi Arabia, this listing represents a modern 7-seater that has already navigated the sharpest part of its initial depreciation curve. It stands out as a practical, style-forward choice for those who need maximum cabin volume without the premium price of a luxury badge.

This Car vs Other 2024 Santa Fes

With 43,907 km, this Santa Fe sits slightly above the average GCC annual mileage of 25,000 km, reflecting a year of active highway use across the Emirates. This usage suggests the vehicle has been regularly exercised on long drives, which is often preferable to low-mileage cars that have endured excessive stop-start city idling in extreme heat. The silver exterior is one of the most resilient colors for the local climate, hiding desert dust effectively and ensuring faster resale compared to darker or experimental tones.

COMFORT vs Lower Trims

The Comfort trim provides a significant jump in daily usability over base models, featuring the upgraded 12.3-inch infotainment display and standard wireless smartphone integration. It adds essential GCC comforts such as rear climate vents for all three rows and a hands-free smart liftgate, which are often missing on entry-level specifications. The inclusion of high-quality stain-resistant cloth upholstery is a practical advantage for families, offering better heat dissipation than leather during the peak summer months.

Santa Fe vs Segment Rivals

The Santa Fe leads its closest rivals, the Kia Sorento and Toyota Highlander, in pure cargo accessibility thanks to its new 'terrace-like' rear opening and 725-litre boot capacity. While the Highlander offers a hybrid focus, the Santa Fe's boxy design provides superior third-row headroom, making it a more viable 7-seater for older children and adults. Its 67-litre fuel tank is specifically sized for long-distance cross-border drives, offering competitive range between stops.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.5L engine averages 8.0 L/100km, performing efficiently on the high-speed roads connecting Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Hyundai maintains one of the most extensive authorized service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, ensuring parts are affordable and easily sourced. Historically, the Santa Fe retains approximately 50-60% of its value over three years in the GCC, performing better than most European mid-size SUVs due to its reputation for mechanical durability.

Performance & Capability

The 2.5-litre 4-cylinder engine delivers a smooth 194 hp, optimized for steady highway cruising and efficient city commuting. With a 0-100 km/h time of approximately 11.5 seconds, the focus is on predictable power delivery and long-term reliability rather than aggressive acceleration. The front-wheel-drive configuration reduces mechanical complexity and improves fuel economy, while the 18 cm ground clearance is more than enough for gravel tracks and weekend camping spots.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is defined by its class-leading space, featuring a flat-folding seat design that transforms the rear into a massive 725-litre storage area. Standard dual-zone climate control and dedicated vents for the third row ensure all seven passengers remain cool during the intense GCC summer. The interior technology is centered around a curved digital display, providing a modern, premium feel that mirrors much more expensive luxury crossovers.

Safety

This Santa Fe comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including Blind-Spot Collision Warning and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, which are vital for navigating the fast-moving multi-lane highways of the UAE. Standard parking distance warnings and a high-definition rearview camera assist in maneuvering this larger SUV into tight city spaces. The 2024 model benefits from reinforced structural pillars and a full array of airbags, maintaining the model's strong safety reputation in the family segment.

The bottom line

This 2024 Santa Fe is the perfect match for a family looking for the latest automotive design and 7-seat versatility with the peace of mind of a GCC-spec vehicle.
