Summary

This 2024 Range Rover Autobiography LWB offers a rare opportunity to acquire the current-generation flagship with the desirable V8 powertrain at a mileage that reflects light, highway-focused use. Finished in Black—the strongest resale color in the GCC—this long-wheelbase variant provides executive-level rear legroom that standard models simply cannot match. It stands out in the segment for its peerless balance of off-road hardware and cabin refinement, making it the definitive choice for crossing emirates in absolute silence. For a buyer in the region, the combination of GCC specifications and the high-output 4.4L V8 ensures optimal performance in extreme heat while maintaining the vehicle's long-term value.

This Car vs Other 2024 Range Rovers

With 40,500 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits comfortably within the average range for a high-end GCC executive SUV, which typically covers 20,000–25,000 km annually. Its condition reflects the highway-heavy driving common in the region, which is often easier on the air suspension and braking systems than stop-start city use. The Black exterior is the most sought-after color in the local market, providing a significant advantage for future resale value compared to lighter or niche shades.

Autobiography LWB vs Lower Trims

The Autobiography trim significantly elevates the cabin experience over the SE, adding ultra-premium Semi-Aniline leather and the 1,600-watt Meridian Signature Sound System with integrated headrest speakers. Long-wheelbase versions further add over 200 mm of rear legroom and are equipped with Executive Class rear seating, featuring powered recline and massagers—features essential for the GCC's luxury-conscious buyers. You also benefit from Pixel LED headlights and standard 22-inch diamond-turned wheels that are often optional on lower specifications.

Range Rover vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Mercedes-Maybach GLS or the BMW X7, the Range Rover leads with its superior 900 mm wading depth and sophisticated Terrain Response 2 system, making it more capable for weekend excursions. Its 4.4L V8 provides a more traditional luxury power delivery than the smaller-displacement engines found in some rivals, while the LWB footprint offers a more grand, stately presence. The integration of four-wheel steering as standard on this trim also gives it a tighter turning circle than many smaller SUVs in its class.

Running Costs & Resale

The 4.4L V8 is surprisingly efficient for its size, with real-world highway consumption averaging approximately 11.5 L/100km, though GCC city traffic will see this rise to roughly 15 L/100km. Service intervals are typically scheduled every 13,000 km or 12 months, with Land Rover's extensive authorized network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia ensuring expert maintenance is always accessible. As a GCC-spec Autobiography, it occupies the most resilient tier of Range Rover depreciation, typically retaining value better than European or American imports.

Performance & Capability

The BMW-sourced 530 hp V8 engine propels this large SUV from 0–100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power on the E11 highway. Electronic air suspension with adaptive dampers allows the vehicle to raise for 295 mm of ground clearance, while the sophisticated All-Wheel Drive system handles sand and gravel with ease. Whether navigating the urban centers of Dubai or long-distance desert roads, the 750 Nm of torque ensures the P530 remains composed under any load.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the five-seat configuration in the LWB body style maximizes passenger space, featuring four-zone climate control with powerful cooling vents designed for the 45°C GCC summers. Both front and rear passengers enjoy ventilated seats, while the acoustic laminated glass ensures the cabin remains a quiet sanctuary from external noise. The 13.1-inch Pivi Pro touchscreen is intuitive and responsive, paired with a digital cockpit that keeps all essential navigation data directly in the driver's line of sight.

Safety

Standard safety tech on the Autobiography includes a full ADAS suite with Adaptive Cruise Control, Steering Assist, and Blind Spot Assist, which are invaluable for fast-moving multi-lane traffic. The 360° 3D Surround Camera system makes maneuvering the extended wheelbase in tight parking areas effortless and safe. Additionally, features like ClearSight Ground View provide a virtual view of the area hidden by the hood, a dedicated off-road safety benefit.

The bottom line

This 2024 Autobiography LWB is the ideal choice for the executive buyer who demands the highest tier of Land Rover luxury and the proven performance of the V8 engine in a GCC-ready package.
