Land Rover Range Rover AUTOBIOGRAPHY P530 - V8 Performance

Highlights

• 0–100 km/h in 4.6 seconds
• 900 mm maximum wading depth
• Meridian Signature Sound System standard

Summary

This Range Rover Autobiography P530 combines the flagship luxury of a five-seat layout with the refined performance of the BMW-sourced 4.4L V8. With just 12,000 km, this example offers a significant mileage advantage over the typical 25,000 km annual average for luxury SUVs in the UAE. The black exterior remains the most sought-after color for resale in the GCC, ensuring long-term value retention in a competitive market. As a 2024 model, it benefits from the latest Pivi Pro infotainment and sophisticated all-wheel steering, making it as manageable in Dubai city traffic as it is stable on the E11 highway. For the executive buyer, the Autobiography trim provides the essential ventilated and massaging seats required to maintain total comfort during the peak of the Gulf summer.

This Car vs Other 2024 Range Rovers

At 12,000 km, this vehicle is well below the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual usage common for high-end cruisers in the region. The black-on-black configuration is a top-tier choice for GCC resale, commanding faster turnaround times and higher price floors compared to brighter palettes. This specific P530 avoids the complexity of long-wheelbase variants while retaining the superior V8 power that local buyers prefer for long-distance desert highway runs.

AUTOBIOGRAPHY P530 vs Lower Trims

The Autobiography trim significantly upgrades the cabin experience over the SE, adding ultra-soft Semi-Aniline leather and 24-way adjustable front seats with hot stone massage. GCC-specific essentials like the front center console refrigerator and four-zone climate control are standard here, ensuring all passengers stay cool in extreme heat. Unlike lower trims, this model includes the 1,600W Meridian Signature Sound System and digital LED headlights with image projection as standard equipment.

Range Rover vs Segment Rivals

Against the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS, the Range Rover leads with a superior 900 mm wading depth and its legendary Terrain Response 2 system, making it more capable for weekend excursions into diverse GCC terrain. While German rivals focus on high-tech road manners, the Autobiography offers a more boutique, handcrafted interior feel with thicker acoustic glass for a quieter cabin on high-speed commutes. Its standard all-wheel steering provides a tighter turning circle than many smaller crossovers, a vital asset for navigating tight parking in Riyadh or Dubai.

Running Costs & Resale

The 4.4L twin-turbo V8 delivers roughly 11.5 L/100km in combined cycles, though stop-start city traffic in major GCC hubs will see higher consumption. Service intervals are typically scheduled every 13,000 km or 12 months, supported by an extensive authorized network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. While high-end luxury SUVs face steeper initial depreciation, the P530 Autobiography remains one of the most resilient models in the segment, often retaining over 65% of its value after three years when maintained at official centers.

Performance & Capability

The P530 powertrain produces a formidable 530 hp and 750 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint of just 4.6 seconds—extraordinary for a vehicle of this stature. Electronic air suspension with Dynamic Response Pro allows for a maximum ground clearance of 295 mm, providing ample room for navigating sand or seasonal flooding. On the highway, the V8 provides effortless overtaking power, while the active anti-roll bars ensure the vehicle remains composed through fast corners.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat interior is focused on executive comfort, featuring Executive Class rear seating with power recline and deep-cushion headrests. The cabin is specifically engineered for the Gulf climate, utilizing solar-attenuating glass and a powerful Air Purification Pro system to filter out dust and allergens. With the refrigerated console and ventilated seats for all primary positions, long road trips across emirates remain luxurious even in 45°C temperatures.

Safety

Standard safety tech includes a 3D surround camera with Wade Sensing, which is invaluable for both tight urban maneuvers and checking water depth during rainstorms. The full ADAS suite provides adaptive cruise control with steering assist, high-speed emergency braking, and blind-spot assist to manage fast-moving highway traffic. Additional protection comes from a comprehensive airbag system and a sophisticated electronic active differential that enhances stability on slippery or sandy surfaces.

The bottom line

This 2024 Autobiography P530 is the perfect acquisition for a buyer seeking the definitive luxury SUV experience with low mileage and the most desirable GCC resale specification. It offers a rare opportunity to step into a nearly-new flagship that is perfectly suited for the region's climate and road conditions.
