Summary

This 2024 V6 sedan offers a compelling mix of modern tech and traditional mechanical reliability, making it a standout in the GCC used market. With mileage that aligns perfectly with a single year of typical regional highway use, it remains well within its mechanical prime. The white exterior is the most sought-after color for resale in the UAE and wider Gulf, ensuring strong value retention for the next owner. While rivals have moved toward small-capacity turbocharged engines, this model retains the smooth, naturally aspirated V6 that local buyers trust for long-term durability. It is an ideal executive daily driver for those who prioritize cooling performance and cabin quietness above all else.

This Car vs Other 2024 ES350s

At 48,000 km, this vehicle sits at the expected average for a year of heavy GCC commuting, where annual use often hits 40,000-50,000 km due to highway-heavy driving. Choosing a white exterior provides a clear advantage at resale time, as it is the most popular and heat-reflective color in the local market. It represents a balanced entry point for a buyer wanting a current-generation executive sedan without the higher depreciation curve of a brand-new showroom model.

PREMIER vs Lower Trims

The Premier trim provides the essential luxury upgrades that GCC buyers expect, most notably the addition of ventilated front seats which are vital for the regional summer. It steps up from the base specifications by offering a more refined cabin environment with wood trim accents and an upgraded 10-speaker premium audio system. These additions, along with the Lexus Memory System for the driver, make it a significantly more comfortable long-distance cruiser than the standard entry-level variants.

ES350 vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the BMW 5 Series and Audi A6 emphasize sporty handling, the ES350 leads the segment in ride suppleness and cabin isolation from road noise. Its front-wheel-drive architecture allows for superior rear legroom compared to rear-drive competitors, making it a better choice for those who occasionally carry passengers or use a driver. Crucially, its naturally aspirated 3.5L engine is often viewed as more reliable in extreme desert heat than the complex turbocharged systems found in its European counterparts.

Running Costs & Resale

Lexus maintains one of the strongest resale profiles in the GCC, typically depreciating at a much slower rate than its German rivals. The 3.5L V6 is exceptionally well-supported by a vast authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring parts are always readily available. Real-world fuel economy averages around 9.1 L/100km combined, though city driving in stop-start Dubai traffic will see this rise while long highway cruises between emirates remain highly efficient. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km, keeping maintenance predictable and manageable.

Performance & Capability

The 302-horsepower V6 provides effortless acceleration, reaching 0-100 km/h in approximately 6.6 seconds, which is more than enough for confident highway merging and overtaking. Unlike many modern sedans, the power delivery is linear and smooth, managed by a refined 8-speed automatic transmission that is tuned for comfort rather than aggressive shifts. The Global Architecture-K (GA-K) platform ensures the car remains stable and planted even at the higher highway speeds common on major GCC arterial roads.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed specifically to counter the GCC climate, featuring a powerful dual-zone air conditioning system and standard ventilated seats that provide rapid cooling even after the car has been parked in the sun. Acoustic glass and extensive sound dampening create a serene environment, shielding occupants from outside heat and traffic noise. The interior layout prioritizes ergonomics, with high-quality NuLuxe upholstery and a spacious 5-seat configuration that offers class-leading legroom in the rear.

Safety

Standard safety equipment is comprehensive with the Lexus Safety System+ 2.5, featuring Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection and All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, which is indispensable for long desert highway drives. The suite also includes Lane Tracing Assist and Road Sign Assist to reduce driver fatigue during cross-border trips. Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert provides vital assistance in fast-moving multi-lane traffic, while 10 airbags ensure top-tier protection for all occupants.

The bottom line

This is a smart choice for the UAE professional who wants a late-model luxury sedan that is mechanically bulletproof and holds its value better than almost anything else in its class.
