Summary

This 2024 Mercedes Benz GLE 63 AMG S represents the pinnacle of performance SUVs, offering a level of mechanical precision that few competitors can match. As a GCC-spec vehicle with mileage that reflects consistent highway use, it is perfectly acclimated to the regional climate and infrastructure. The S trim elevates the standard GLE to a high-performance machine, featuring the legendary hand-assembled V8 that delivers blistering acceleration suitable for the fast-paced highways of the UAE. Its Grey exterior is a highly sought-after shade in the local market, ensuring it retains strong desirability and resale value over time. For the buyer who demands a vehicle that transitions seamlessly from a sophisticated executive commuter to a powerful long-distance tourer, this specific example stands out as a well-maintained, high-spec option. The combination of its recent model year and regional suitability makes it one of the most compelling performance SUV opportunities currently available in the GCC market.

This Car vs Other 2024 GLE 63 AMGs

When comparing this specific 2024 GLE 63 AMG S to others on the market, the mileage is a key factor to consider within the GCC context. With 46,200 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven approximately 23,000 km per year, which aligns perfectly with the regional average for high-performance SUVs used for inter-emirate travel. This level of usage indicates the engine has been regularly exercised and maintained according to its high-performance requirements, rather than sitting idle in a collection. The Grey exterior finish is particularly advantageous in this region, as it hides the inevitable dust of the desert far better than darker shades while maintaining a sophisticated aesthetic that commands a premium at resale. Being a GCC-spec model, it carries the peace of mind that all cooling systems and electronics are designed to withstand 50°C summers, a critical advantage over imported American or European examples. This listing represents a transparent and honest ownership history, making it a safer bet for those looking for a modern, reliable performance SUV.

S vs Lower Trims

Choosing the S trim over the standard GLE 63 AMG or the GLE 53 translates to a significant leap in both performance and prestige. The S trim is the only way to access the maximum output of the hand-built 4.0L V8, featuring larger turbochargers and a more aggressive engine map. Beyond the raw power, the S trim adds essential luxury and performance hardware that GCC buyers prioritize, such as the active roll stabilization system which keeps the SUV flat during high-speed cornering on winding mountain roads. Inside, the S trim features exclusive Nappa leather upholstery and the high-end Burmester Surround Sound system as standard, whereas these are often optional on lower variants. You also benefit from the AMG Track Pace software and dynamic engine mounts, which sharpen the car's responses during spirited drives. In the GCC market, the S badge is a significant value driver, as buyers in this segment almost exclusively seek the top-tier configuration, ensuring better price protection when you eventually decide to sell.

GLE 63 AMG vs Segment Rivals

The GLE 63 AMG S competes directly with the BMW X5 M Competition and the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, yet it carves out its own niche by balancing raw aggression with superior daily comfort. While the Porsche may feel more track-focused, the Mercedes offers a more supple air suspension setup that is better suited for the diverse road surfaces found between Dubai and Muscat. Its MBUX infotainment system is widely considered the most intuitive in the segment, featuring augmented reality navigation that is incredibly helpful when navigating the complex multi-level interchanges of Riyadh or Abu Dhabi. The Mercedes also boasts a more spacious cabin feel compared to the X5 M, providing better shoulder room for five adult passengers. Furthermore, the brand's presence in the GCC is unparalleled, with a service network that is more extensive than Porsche's, ensuring that expert care is never far away regardless of which emirate or neighboring country you are in.

Running Costs & Resale

Running a high-performance machine like the GLE 63 AMG S in the GCC is a calculated investment in engineering excellence. Real-world fuel consumption typically averages around 15L per 100km, though highway cruising at 120 km/h can see this figure improve significantly during long trips across the UAE. The vehicle requires high-octane Super 98 fuel to maintain the health of its hand-built engine, which is readily available at all regional stations. Service intervals are generally every 15,000 km or 12 months, with major services involving specialized checks of the 4MATIC+ system and the electronic limited-slip differential. Mercedes-Benz has one of the strongest authorized service footprints in the Middle East, with flagship facilities in every major city ensuring parts availability is rarely an issue. While high-performance European SUVs typically see a depreciation of 15% annually, the S trim of the GLE 63 AMG tends to hold its value slightly better due to its high demand in the used market, often retaining over 60% of its value after three years of ownership.

Performance & Capability

The defining characteristic of the GLE 63 AMG S is its ability to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, a figure that puts many dedicated sports cars to shame. This performance is managed by a sophisticated 9-speed MCT transmission that provides lightning-fast shifts during spirited driving and smooth transitions during city commutes. For the GCC driver, this power translates to effortless overtaking on high-speed motorways and a sense of total control. The 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system features fully variable torque distribution, meaning it can send 100% of the power to the rear wheels for a traditional sports car feel or distribute it across all four for maximum grip on sand-swept asphalt. The vehicle also features adjustable ride height via its air suspension, allowing you to increase ground clearance when navigating minor off-road tracks or steep driveway ramps. Whether you are heading to a weekend retreat in Hatta or navigating the urban sprawl of Dubai, the performance envelope of this SUV is remarkably broad.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior of this GLE 63 AMG S is designed to be a sanctuary from the intense GCC heat, featuring a high-capacity climate control system that can cool the cabin in minutes. The five-seat layout provides ample legroom and headroom for all passengers, making it an ideal choice for families who refuse to compromise on luxury. The front seats are multi-contour units, offering heating, ventilation, and various massage programs to ensure you arrive refreshed after a long drive across the desert. Noise insulation is world-class, with acoustic glass and extensive dampening keeping the roar of the V8 hushed until you choose to open the exhaust valves. The standard Burmester audio system provides a concert-like experience, perfectly tuned to the cabin's acoustics. With the MBUX interior assistant, many functions can be controlled via gesture or voice, allowing the driver to keep their eyes on the road during fast-moving traffic. The cargo space is generous, easily accommodating luggage for a cross-border road trip or a full set of golf clubs.

Safety

Safety in the GLE 63 AMG S is comprehensive, utilizing a suite of sensors and cameras to provide 360-degree protection. The Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC is a standout feature for GCC drivers, as it manages following distances automatically during long highway stints, significantly reducing driver fatigue. Blind Spot Assist and Lane Keeping Assist are essential for navigating the high-speed, multi-lane environments common in the region, providing haptic feedback if a collision risk is detected. The car also features Pre-Safe Impulse Side, which can move the driver or front passenger away from a side impact by inflating seat bolsters milliseconds before a collision. High-performance composite brakes provide immense stopping power, a critical safety factor for a vehicle of this weight and speed capability. These systems are standard on the S trim, whereas many competitors require expensive optional packages to reach this level of driver assistance and passive safety.

The bottom line

This 2024 Mercedes Benz GLE 63 AMG S is the ideal choice for a buyer who wants a nearly new, GCC-spec performance icon without the initial depreciation hit of a showroom purchase. Its combination of the top-tier S trim features and a versatile Grey finish makes it a standout opportunity for both performance enthusiasts and luxury-seeking families in the region.
