Summary

This 2024 Mini Countryman Cooper S is a standout choice for those seeking a premium hatchback that balances performance with everyday utility. With just 14,000 km, this vehicle offers a nearly new experience, significantly below the typical mileage for a two-year-old car in the UAE. The Cooper S trim provides a meaningful power boost over the base model, making it ideal for the fast-paced highway traffic of the GCC. Finished in Black, a top-tier resale color in the regional market, this listing represents a strategic purchase for a buyer looking for style and value retention. As a Korean spec model, it provides a unique feature set often including high-end interior finishes while maintaining the mechanical DNA shared with its global counterparts.

This Car vs Other 2024 Countrymans

With only 14,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits well below the GCC average of 40,000–50,000 km for a car of this age. This low-usage status ensures less wear on the mechanical components and interior surfaces, providing a long-term ownership advantage. The Black exterior is one of the most sought-after colors in the UAE used market, typically leading to faster resale and better price holding compared to brighter palettes.

COOPER S vs Lower Trims

The Cooper S is the definitive upgrade over the standard Cooper, replacing the 1.5L three-cylinder with a more robust 2.0L four-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine. This trim adds essential equipment for the GCC climate, such as dual-zone automatic climate control and heated front sport seats. You also benefit from larger 18-inch wheels and more aggressive exterior styling that gives the car a more commanding presence on the road.

Countryman vs Segment Rivals

Compared to rivals like the Audi Q3 and BMW X1, the Mini Countryman offers a more engaging, 'go-kart' handling profile that makes it a favorite for city driving in Dubai or Riyadh. It provides a more distinctive design language inside and out, standing out in a segment dominated by traditional SUV shapes. Its compact footprint also allows for a tighter turning circle, making it far easier to maneuver in dense urban parking environments.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.0L engine delivers a refined balance of efficiency and power, with real-world combined consumption of approximately 6.5L/100km depending on driving style. As a Korean spec import, buyers should note that while mechanical parts are widely available through the extensive BMW/Mini network in the UAE, some specific electronic modules or warranty support may differ from GCC-spec cars. Historically, Mini retains about 58% of its value after three years in the GCC, with the Cooper S trim being the most liquid in the used market.

Performance & Capability

The 189 hp output allows for effortless highway overtaking and a brisk 0–100 km/h sprint of 7.2 seconds. The 7-speed Steptronic dual-clutch transmission provides lightning-fast shifts that suit the car's sporty character. Multiple driving modes, including 'Sport' and 'Green', allow the driver to tailor the throttle response and steering weight to match long cross-country drives or heavy stop-start city traffic.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is designed with premium materials and features the iconic circular 8.8-inch touchscreen as its centerpiece. For the GCC summer, the powerful air conditioning system and dual-zone control ensure the cabin stays cool rapidly. Despite its compact exterior, the Countryman offers impressive headroom and a sliding rear bench that allows you to prioritize either passenger legroom or boot space for weekend trips.

Safety

Standard safety tech on this trim includes Forward Collision Warning and Lane Departure Warning, providing essential protection on high-speed regional highways. The car is equipped with a comprehensive 6-airbag system and rear park distance control to assist with tight city parking. Electronic Stability Control and high-performance ABS ensure the car remains planted and responsive even in the sudden rain showers or sandy conditions occasionally encountered in the region.

The bottom line

For the urban professional who wants the practicality of a hatchback without sacrificing performance, this low-mileage Cooper S is a premier opportunity. Its excellent condition and high-demand color make it one of the most attractive Mini listings currently available in the UAE.
