Summary

This 2024 Nissan Altima Sport offers a compelling balance of modern aesthetics and daily practicality, finished in a high-resale Deep Blue Pearl. With 42,000 km, the mileage is perfectly aligned with the GCC average for a year-old vehicle, indicating consistent highway use rather than harsh city stop-start wear. The Sport trim distinguishes itself from the base models with a more aggressive stance and enhanced handling, making it a standout in the midsize sedan segment. Its 2.5L engine is a proven workhorse across the region, known for its ability to handle the extreme heat of UAE summers while maintaining excellent fuel efficiency. For a buyer seeking a reliable, tech-forward commuter with a sportier edge, this listing represents a very stable investment in the current used market.

This Car vs Other 2024 Altimas

With 42,000 km on the odometer, this Altima sits right at the expected average for a 2024 model in the GCC, where annual distances often exceed 30,000 km due to highway commuting between emirates. The Deep Blue Pearl exterior is a sophisticated alternative to the common white or silver, yet it remains a strong resale color in the local market. Choosing this specific unit ensures you are getting a mechanically fresh vehicle that has passed the initial depreciation steepness while remaining under its peak functional life.

SPORT vs Lower Trims

The Sport trim provides a significant visual and mechanical upgrade over the S and SV variants, most notably adding a sport-tuned suspension for sharper handling on curved exits and 19-inch machine-finished alloy wheels. Inside, you benefit from a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters and unique sport cloth upholstery with contrast stitching. These features, combined with the dark chrome grille treatment, give the car a premium presence that lower trims lack.

Altima vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord, the Altima leads with its NASA-inspired Zero Gravity seats, which are specifically designed to reduce fatigue during long desert highway drives. It also offers a highly competitive fuel tank capacity of 61 liters, providing superior range for cross-border trips compared to many rivals. The Xtronic CVT is tuned for smooth power delivery, a preferred trait for the high-speed, steady-state driving typical of the GCC.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.5L powertrain averages approximately 8.2 L/100km, though highway cruising often sees figures drop toward 6.9 L/100km. Nissan has one of the most extensive authorized service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, with standard service intervals every 10,000 km or six months. As a Japanese sedan, the Altima enjoys strong value retention, typically depreciating at a slower rate than its European counterparts, making it a safe financial choice for a 3-year ownership cycle.

Performance & Capability

The 182 hp 2.5-liter engine delivers reliable performance for both city navigation and high-speed overtaking on the E11. While not a track car, the Sport trim's upgraded suspension offers a more planted feel during lane changes and higher-speed cornering than the standard sedan. The front-wheel-drive configuration is perfectly suited for the region's well-paved infrastructure, providing a predictable and comfortable ride in all weather conditions.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for five occupants, prioritizing thermal comfort with a powerful air conditioning system that is famously robust against GCC summer temperatures. Standard acoustic glass helps isolate the interior from road noise during long commutes, while the Sport-specific interior finishes add a touch of modern luxury. The 60/40 split-folding rear seats and 436-liter boot provide ample practicality for family road trips or large grocery runs.

Safety

This Altima comes standard with the Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite, including Intelligent Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, which are invaluable for fast-moving highway traffic. Additional features like Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert provide extra layers of protection in busy urban parking environments. The vehicle is also equipped with a comprehensive 10-airbag system and Lane Departure Warning to ensure maximum occupant safety.

The bottom line

This 2024 Altima Sport is the ideal choice for a professional seeking a reliable, fuel-efficient commuter that doesn't sacrifice style or highway comfort in the GCC climate.
