Summary

This 2024 Nissan Pathfinder SL is an exceptional find for families in the GCC, offering a rare balance of near-new quality and proven reliability. With mileage significantly below the regional annual average, it presents a long-term ownership advantage for those commuting between emirates or across borders. The SL trim bridges the gap between utility and luxury, providing the essential tech and comfort features that GCC buyers value most, while the silver exterior remains the gold standard for heat reflection and high resale demand in the local market. Powered by a robust V6 and a smooth 9-speed transmission, it avoids the complexities of smaller turbo engines, ensuring consistent performance in extreme summer heat. This is a versatile, high-spec SUV that’s perfectly adapted to the demands of daily school runs and weekend road trips alike.

This Car vs Other 2024 Pathfinders

At just 26,899 km, this Pathfinder’s mileage is notably low for the GCC market, where family SUVs typically clock 20,000 to 25,000 km annually. Its silver finish is a strategic choice for the region, offering the highest resistance to visible dust and heat while maintaining the strongest resale liquidity. Choosing this specific listing offers the benefits of a current-generation model with the initial depreciation already accounted for.

SL vs Lower Trims

The SL trim is a significant step up from the SV, introducing standard leather-appointed seating for the first two rows and a larger 9-inch touchscreen navigation system. GCC drivers will particularly appreciate the addition of the Intelligent Around View Monitor and the wireless charging pad, which are high-demand features in the local used market. It also upgrades the cabin environment with an auto-dimming rearview mirror and enhanced driver assistance tech that makes long desert highway drives far more relaxing.

Pathfinder vs Segment Rivals

The Pathfinder stands out against rivals like the Ford Explorer and Kia Telluride by sticking to a traditional, naturally aspirated 3.5L V6 engine that is easier to maintain across the GCC service network. It leads in seating flexibility with its 8-passenger capacity and the EZ FLEX seating system, allowing easier access to the third row than many competitors. Additionally, its 9-speed automatic transmission provides a more refined and responsive highway experience compared to the CVTs often found in this segment.

Running Costs & Resale

The Pathfinder remains one of the most cost-effective mid-size SUVs to own in the UAE and wider GCC due to Nissan’s massive authorized service network and high parts availability. Real-world fuel consumption averages around 10.5L/100km, which is competitive for a V6 of this size, especially during steady-speed highway cruising between cities. Nissan Pathfinders typically experience a stable depreciation rate of approximately 8-10% annually in the local market, significantly outperforming many American and European rivals in value retention.

Performance & Capability

The 3.5L V6 delivers a refined 284 horsepower, providing confident overtaking power on fast-moving UAE highways. Equipped with Intelligent 4WD and seven selectable drive modes, including specific Sand and Mud/Rut settings, it is well-suited for weekend excursions to the dunes or gravel wadis. While optimized for road comfort, the system manages torque distribution effectively to handle soft surfaces and steep highway inclines with ease.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the GCC climate, featuring a powerful tri-zone automatic temperature control system with dedicated vents for all three rows to ensure rapid cooling during summer peaks. The SL trim’s leather interior is paired with Nissan’s Zero Gravity seats, which are specifically engineered to reduce fatigue during long cross-country drives. With all seats in place, it offers 470 liters of cargo space, expanding significantly for family camping trips or large grocery runs.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive with the Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite, including Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. The SL trim specifically benefits from ProPILOT Assist, which combines steering assist and Intelligent Cruise Control to help manage lane positioning and following distance during heavy traffic or long desert stretches. Ten standard airbags and a reinforced chassis contribute to its top-tier safety reputation for family transport.

The bottom line

This is the ideal opportunity for a GCC family seeking a low-mileage, high-trim 8-seater that is fully optimized for the local climate and holds its value exceptionally well. It offers the perfect balance of modern technology and mechanical simplicity, making it a safe, smart investment for years to come.
