Summary

This 2025 Pathfinder S offers a rare opportunity to own a nearly new, current-generation 8-seater SUV with a proven mechanical pedigree. Finished in black, which remains one of the highest-demand resale colors across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, this GCC-spec vehicle is perfectly adapted for the region's heat and infrastructure. The transition from the old CVT to a smooth 9-speed automatic transmission makes this generation significantly more desirable for long-distance highway cruising between emirates. For a buyer seeking the reliability of a Japanese powertrain with genuine 4WD capability for weekend escapes, this listing represents a strategic alternative to a brand-new showroom purchase.

This Car vs Other 2025 Pathfinders

With 42,729 km on the odometer, this vehicle has seen active use typical of a primary family workhorse in the GCC, where annual averages often reach 25,000 km. While the mileage is slightly above the global average for its age, it reflects a car that is mechanically broken-in and highway-tested. The black exterior is a significant asset for local resale, consistently holding value better than niche colors in the UAE used market.

S vs Lower Trims

As the foundational trim, the S provides the essential GCC requirements without unnecessary electronic complexity, featuring the same powerful V6 engine and 9-speed automatic as the top-tier trims. It includes standard Safety Shield 360 and three-zone climate control, which are often costly upgrades on rivals. Buyers specifically benefit from the 8-passenger seating configuration, which is sometimes lost in higher trims that opt for second-row captain's chairs.

Pathfinder vs Segment Rivals

The Pathfinder stands out against rivals like the Ford Explorer and Kia Telluride by offering a standard 9-speed automatic transmission that many purists prefer over CVT alternatives. Its towing capacity of 2,721 kg leads many in the crossover segment, making it a superior choice for those hauling trailers or jet skis to the coast. Additionally, Nissan's EZ FLEX seating system provides easier third-row access than the Toyota Highlander.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel economy for the 3.5L V6 typically averages around 10.5 L/100km on GCC highways, though heavy stop-start traffic in cities like Dubai can see this rise to 13 L/100km. Nissan benefits from one of the most extensive authorized service networks in the region, ensuring parts and expert maintenance are available from Kuwait to Oman. Historically, GCC-spec Pathfinders retain roughly 65-70% of their value after three years, outperforming many American and European competitors.

Performance & Capability

Equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 producing 271 hp and 340 Nm of torque, the Pathfinder delivers linear power ideal for confident highway overtaking. The intelligent 4WD system includes selectable terrain modes, allowing for light desert excursions and improved stability on gravel tracks. The move to a traditional 9-speed automatic ensures a more connected driving feel and better heat management during the extreme GCC summer months.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for large families, featuring a full 8-seat layout and a tri-zone climate control system with dedicated vents for all three rows to combat 45°C+ temperatures. Standard UV-reducing solar glass helps minimize cabin heat soak when parked. Even with all seats occupied, the interior remains quiet thanks to enhanced acoustic insulation, making it an excellent choice for cross-border road trips.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive with the Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite, including Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Warning, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert as standard. These systems are particularly valuable on fast-moving, multi-lane GCC highways. The vehicle also features ten airbags and a 5-star safety pedigree, providing peace of mind for family logistics.

The bottom line

For the GCC family that needs maximum seating and 4WD versatility without the premium price of a luxury trim, this black-on-black Pathfinder is a practical and high-resale choice.
