Summary

This 2024 Nissan X-Terra SE offers a practical balance of seven-seat utility and modern tech, making it an ideal entry point into the mid-size SUV segment. With its white exterior—the most preferred resale color in the GCC—this vehicle is perfectly suited to reflect the intense summer heat while maintaining high market liquidity. As a rear-wheel-drive model, it provides better fuel efficiency than its 4WD counterparts, which is a major advantage for families primarily focused on city commuting and inter-emirate highway travel. Nissan's reputation for durability paired with the X-Terra’s body-on-frame construction ensures it can handle the unique demands of the regional climate and long-distance driving with ease.

This Car vs Other 2024 Nissan X-Terras

With just 33,151 km on the odometer, this X-Terra sits comfortably within the expected mileage for a one-year-old vehicle in the GCC, where annual averages typically reach 25,000 km. The white exterior is a strategic choice for the local market, offering the best heat rejection properties and the highest possible resale value. This specific listing represents a fresh, near-new example of the current generation, benefiting from the latest styling updates and modern safety tech.

SE vs Lower Trims

The SE trim serves as a significant upgrade over the base XE, adding essential features that GCC buyers value for daily convenience. It introduces 17-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, and front fog lamps that improve the vehicle's road presence. Inside, the SE benefits from a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a more advanced 7-inch driver assist display, providing a more premium feel than the entry-level variant.

X-Terra vs Segment Rivals

The X-Terra competes directly with the Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Montero Sport, leading the way with a more modern interior layout and a 78-liter fuel tank that is ideal for long desert highway runs. Unlike some rivals that rely on older platforms, the X-Terra offers a smoother 7-speed automatic transmission that enhances highway cruising comfort. Its generous 243 mm ground clearance ensures it can navigate gravel tracks and high speed bumps effortlessly.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.5L RWD powertrain averages approximately 8.8 L/100km on the highway, benefiting from the efficient 7-speed gearbox. Maintenance is highly predictable, with minor service intervals every 5,000 to 10,000 km across Nissan's vast authorized network in the UAE and wider GCC. The X-Terra is a strong value-retention performer, typically retaining over 70% of its value after three years, largely due to Nissan's iron-clad reputation for reliability in the Middle East.

Performance & Capability

The 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine produces a reliable 165 hp and 241 Nm of torque, which provides steady power delivery for urban traffic and highway overtaking. While this RWD model is road-focused, its body-on-frame construction and substantial 243 mm ground clearance mean it remains more capable than standard crossovers for weekend camping trips and light trail driving. The hydraulic power steering provides a connected feel, useful for navigating tight city parking and multi-lane highway merges.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat cabin is designed for the GCC climate, featuring a powerful air conditioning system with dedicated rear vents to ensure all three rows stay cool during peak summer. The 'Zero Gravity' seats are engineered to reduce fatigue during long road trips between cities like Dubai and Riyadh. The SE trim’s fabric seating is durable and remains cooler to the touch than leather after the car has been parked in the sun.

Safety

Standard safety equipment on the SE trim includes dual front airbags, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), and Hill Start Assist, which is particularly useful when fully loaded with seven passengers. It also features a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and a rearview monitor to assist with parking this mid-size SUV in congested urban areas. The body-on-frame design provides an additional layer of passive safety and structural integrity for peace of mind on the road.

The bottom line

For the GCC family seeking a nearly new SUV that balances modern tech with proven mechanical durability, this low-mileage X-Terra SE is a smart, high-liquidity choice.
