Summary

This 2024 Nissan X-Terra Platinum is a standout choice for GCC buyers, combining under-30,000 km usage with the highest available trim level. As a GCC-spec model, it features the heavy-duty cooling systems required for extreme summer heat, while its black exterior remains a resilient and high-demand choice in the regional resale market. The Platinum trim bridges the gap between a rugged body-on-frame 4x4 and a refined family hauler, offering a more modern interior than its segment rivals. For a buyer looking for a nearly new seven-seater with genuine off-road hardware and full manufacturer-standard tech, this listing offers exceptional peace of mind.

This Car vs Other 2024 X Terras

With just under 29,887 km, this X-Terra sits well below the typical GCC annual average of 20,000–25,000 km, representing roughly one year of light use. While many 2024 models in the market are entry-level SE trims, this is a top-spec Platinum, ensuring you have the full suite of safety and comfort features often missing in fleet-heavy listings. Its black finish is a strong resale color across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, maintaining a professional look while holding value better than niche tones.

PLATINUM vs Lower Trims

The Platinum trim is a significant step up from the Titanium, replacing standard materials with premium leather-appointed seating and adding a larger 9-inch touchscreen with built-in Navigation. Crucially for GCC drivers, it adds the Intelligent Around View Monitor (360° camera) with Moving Object Detection, which is invaluable for parking large SUVs in tight city spaces. You also benefit from the full Nissan Intelligent Mobility suite, including Lane Departure Warning and Blind Spot Warning, which are only partially available on lower grades.

X Terra vs Segment Rivals

The X-Terra leads its primary rival, the Toyota Fortuner, in ride comfort thanks to its multi-link rear suspension, which avoids the 'bumpy' feel common in pickup-based SUVs. While the Mitsubishi Montero Sport offers a V6, the X-Terra’s 2.5L powertrain is tuned for significantly better fuel efficiency, making it a more economical daily commuter in stop-start traffic. Its 78-litre fuel tank ensures long-range capability for cross-emirate highway drives, outperforming many crossovers in the same price bracket.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this 2.5L engine averages around 8.7 L/100km, making it one of the most efficient body-on-frame SUVs in the region. Nissan’s authorized service network is among the most extensive in the GCC, with centers available in every major city from Muscat to Riyadh, ensuring parts are always accessible and affordable. The X-Terra typically sees a depreciation rate of 8-10% annually, holding its value remarkably well compared to European equivalents due to its reputation for mechanical durability in desert climates.

Performance & Capability

The X-Terra features a class-leading 243 mm ground clearance, allowing it to navigate sandy tracks and gravel wadis that would stop a standard crossover. The 2.5L engine delivers 165 hp through a smooth 7-speed automatic transmission, providing reliable power for highway overtaking and steady climbs. Its Four-Wheel Drive system includes a dedicated low-range transfer case and an electronic locking rear differential, making it a genuine weekend warrior for desert camping trips.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for large families, featuring seven seats with Nissan’s signature 'Zero Gravity' technology to reduce fatigue on long highway drives. The dual-zone climate control is specifically engineered for the GCC, with dedicated vents for all three rows to ensure rapid cooling even when ambient temperatures exceed 45°C. Second-row passengers benefit from a one-touch 'tumble' switch for easy access to the third row, making the logistics of school runs or family outings effortless.

Safety

This Platinum trim comes standard with an advanced ADAS suite including Intelligent Forward Collision Warning and Emergency Braking, which are essential for fast-moving GCC highway traffic. The inclusion of six airbags, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and a 360-degree camera system provides a layer of protection that exceeds many of its mid-size competitors. Its body-on-frame construction further enhances occupant safety during off-road excursions and heavy-duty use.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer who needs a reliable, tech-loaded family SUV that won't shy away from a desert weekend, this low-mileage Platinum X-Terra is the most complete package in its class today.
