Summary

This 2024 Nissan X-Trail S is an exceptionally fresh family crossover that represents a smart buy for those seeking modern safety and efficiency without the new-car depreciation hit. With the white exterior being a top-tier choice for resale value in the GCC, this vehicle is perfectly suited for the regional climate and highway-heavy driving. As a 2-year-old vehicle, it offers the latest generation design and tech, standing out from rivals with its balance of fuel economy and cabin versatility. The 2.5-litre powertrain is a proven workhorse across the Emirates, ensuring reliable performance even during peak summer temperatures. For any buyer in the UAE or Saudi Arabia, the strength of the local Nissan support network remains a primary ownership advantage.

This Car vs Other 2024 X-Trails

With 60,072 km on the odometer, this X-Trail has been driven roughly 30,000 km per year, which is consistent with active highway use common for families commuting between Emirates. While higher than some low-mileage examples, this usage is typical for a 2-year-old GCC workhorse and often indicates a car that has spent its time at stable cruising speeds rather than in harsh stop-start city traffic. The white exterior is the most sought-after color in the regional used market, ensuring faster liquidity and better value retention when it's time to upgrade.

S vs Lower Trims

As the foundational trim for the latest generation, the S trim provides essential GCC-specific features including rear A/C vents and a 7-inch Advanced Drive-Assist display that are often absent in base-model competitors. While higher trims like the SV add panoramic roofs, the S focuses on durability with high-quality cloth upholstery that stays significantly cooler in the direct desert sun. You also benefit from standard LED headlights and cruise control, making it a highly competent highway cruiser.

X-Trail vs Segment Rivals

The X-Trail leads primary rivals like the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V in cargo versatility, offering a generous 585-litre boot that easily accommodates large family grocery runs or weekend gear. Its 16.1 km/L fuel economy rating is highly competitive for a non-hybrid in this segment, providing a significant range advantage on long drives between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Additionally, the X-Trail's updated interior design feels notably more modern than older-generation layouts found in some entry-level competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this 2.5L engine averages around 6.2 L/100km on the highway, though GCC city traffic will see this move toward 9-10 L/100km. Service intervals are strictly every 10,000 km or 6 months at authorized centers across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring your warranty and resale value stay protected. Nissan maintains one of the strongest resale patterns in the region, typically depreciating at a slower rate than European equivalents, with high demand for GCC-spec units in the second-hand market.

Performance & Capability

The 181 hp engine provides smooth, linear acceleration via the Xtronic CVT, designed specifically to maximize efficiency during high-speed highway cruising. With 210 mm of ground clearance, it handles speed bumps and gravel tracks with ease, making it a reliable companion for light weekend exploring. The Front Wheel Drive setup is optimized for road stability and lower maintenance costs, perfectly suited for the well-maintained road networks of the GCC.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the 5-seat layout offers class-leading legroom for rear passengers, paired with dedicated rear cooling vents that are essential for maintaining comfort during the peak summer months. The cabin is well-insulated against exterior heat and road noise, providing a refined environment for long-distance family travel. The EZ Flex seating system allows for 60/40 split-folding and sliding, giving you the flexibility to prioritize passenger space or luggage as needed.

Safety

Safety is a priority with 6 airbags standard on this trim, alongside Intelligent Trace Control and Hill Start Assist to aid stability on varying road surfaces. The inclusion of cruise control and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) provides peace of mind during fast-moving highway traffic across the Emirates. It also features standard ISOFIX anchors, making it a secure choice for families with young children.

The bottom line

This 2024 X-Trail is the ideal choice for a pragmatic GCC family buyer who wants a near-new, fuel-efficient SUV with the strongest possible resale color and spec.
