Summary

This 2024 Nissan X-Trail SV is a prime example of a modern family workhorse, offering seven seats and all-wheel-drive versatility. With 35,000 km, it has been used consistently for high-speed highway commuting, which is typical for the UAE market where long-distance reliability is essential. The black exterior is a classic and highly sought-after choice in the GCC, ensuring strong interest and value when it comes time to resell. As a Japanese-engineered SUV, it leads its segment in ownership ease, benefiting from the region's most widespread maintenance infrastructure. For a GCC buyer, this represents a near-new vehicle that balances contemporary tech with a proven, durable powertrain.

This Car vs Other 2024 X Trails

With 35,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits within the average range for a late-model used car in the GCC, where annual driving often exceeds 25,000 km. The black exterior provides a significant advantage for resale, as it remains one of the three most popular colors across the UAE and Saudi markets. Choosing a 2024 model allows you to benefit from the latest fourth-generation styling and chassis refinements while avoiding the initial steepest year of depreciation.

SV vs Lower Trims

The SV trim is a significant step up from the base S model, introducing key features that GCC buyers value, such as a 360-degree camera system for easier parking in tight urban spaces. It also adds a power-adjustable driver’s seat and remote engine start, a vital feature for cooling the cabin before entering during the summer months. Safety is also upgraded, moving from the standard six airbags in the S trim to eight airbags in the SV.

X Trail vs Segment Rivals

The X-Trail stands out against the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V by offering a third row of seats, making it a more flexible choice for larger families. Its 2.5L engine is specifically tuned for the region’s long highway stretches, providing consistent power without the complexity of smaller turbocharged rivals. Additionally, Nissan’s air conditioning systems are widely regarded in the Middle East for their superior performance in extreme 45°C+ temperatures.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.5L AWD variant typically averages around 7.8 L/100km on combined routes, making it one of the more efficient non-hybrid SUVs for long-distance cruising between emirates. Owners benefit from one of the most extensive authorized service networks in the GCC, with parts readily available in every major city from Riyadh to Muscat. Resale value is historically strong, with the X-Trail typically retaining 60-70% of its value after three years, significantly outperforming American and European competitors.

Performance & Capability

The 181 hp engine provides reliable and smooth acceleration, achieving 0-100 km/h in approximately 9.6 seconds. The Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system is particularly useful for weekend trips to the desert or navigating rain-slicked roads during the winter months. With a 1,500 kg braked towing capacity and 210 mm of ground clearance, it is well-equipped for light off-road excursions and carrying heavy family loads across the border.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat layout features a flexible second row that slides and reclines, ensuring comfort for adults and children alike during long drives. The SV trim includes multi-zone climate control with dedicated rear vents, ensuring the back rows stay cool even in peak summer. The cabin is further enhanced by a high-resolution touchscreen featuring wireless Apple CarPlay, keeping the family connected throughout the journey.

Safety

Safety is a priority with the inclusion of Nissan’s Intelligent Mobility suite, featuring blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert which are essential for fast-moving highway traffic. The SV trim also comes standard with eight airbags, emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and a 360-degree camera system. These active systems provide peace of mind during daily school runs and long-distance road trips across the GCC.

The bottom line

This X-Trail SV is the ideal choice for a family seeking the latest technology and 7-seat versatility with the peace of mind that only a GCC-spec Nissan service history can provide.
