Summary

This 2024 RAM 1500 Rebel represents the final opportunity to own the legendary 5.7L HEMI V8 before the model transitions to six-cylinder power. With just 17,075 km, this GCC-spec truck is barely broken in, offering a significant advantage over the typical 25,000 km annual average seen in the Emirates. The Black-on-Black configuration is a high-demand palette in the UAE, ensuring strong resale liquidity and a commanding presence on the road. The Rebel trim perfectly balances daily refinement with factory-upgraded off-road hardware, making it the ideal choice for those who split their time between Dubai’s highways and weekend desert escapes. As one of the most reliable and sought-after powertrains in the region, this low-mileage V8 is a secure long-term investment for any GCC buyer.

This Car vs Other 2024 RAM 1500s

At 17,075 km, this Rebel sits well below the average mileage for a 2024 model in the GCC, where long-distance commuting between emirates often drives odometers up quickly. The GCC regional specification is a critical value marker here, ensuring the cooling system and air conditioning are factory-optimized for the local climate. The Black exterior is one of the top three resale colors in the region, consistently holding more value than brighter, niche alternatives.

REBEL vs Lower Trims

The Rebel trim sits above the Big Horn, replacing standard components with heavy-duty off-road hardware including performance shocks, a 1-inch factory lift, and comprehensive underbody skid plates. Inside, the Rebel gains the larger 12-inch Uconnect vertical touchscreen and a unique technical-grain interior that is far more durable than the entry-level cloth. Crucially for the GCC, the Rebel includes a selectable electronic locking rear differential, a feature often missing on road-biased lower trims.

1500 vs Segment Rivals

The RAM 1500 leads the Ford F-150 and Chevrolet Silverado specifically in cabin refinement, utilizing a class-exclusive link-coil rear suspension that provides a much smoother ride on the E11 and E311 highways. The 5.7L HEMI V8 is widely regarded as one of the most durable engines in the segment, supported by a massive parts network across Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Its interior storage solutions, including the deep center console, provide more practical daily utility than its immediate domestic rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

The 5.7L HEMI with eTorque technology manages a combined fuel consumption of approximately 12.4 L/100km, performing efficiently during long-distance highway cruises across the GCC. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km at authorized Mopar centers, which are extensively available from Abu Dhabi to Muscat. The RAM 1500 Rebel holds its value exceptionally well, with a historical 3-year depreciation rate roughly 5-8% lower than luxury SUVs in the same price bracket.

Performance & Capability

The 5.7L HEMI V8 delivers a verified 395 hp and 556 Nm of torque, providing effortless overtaking power even when fully loaded. The Rebel is factory-equipped for the desert, featuring 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires and a specialized off-road suspension tune that handles washboard gravel and soft sand with ease. With a towing capacity of 3,270 kg, it is more than capable of hauling large boats or horse trailers across the border.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the extreme GCC summer, featuring a high-output air conditioning system and rear ventilation as standard for all 5 passengers. The Rebel's unique bucket seats provide excellent lateral support during off-road maneuvers while remaining comfortable for 500 km road trips. The 12-inch infotainment system serves as a central hub for navigation and media, well-insulated from exterior wind and road noise.

Safety

Safety is managed by a high-strength steel frame and a comprehensive suite of active systems, including Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking. For the fast-paced highways of the UAE, the Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path and Trailer Detection is an essential aid. Standard electronic stability control and hill start assist provide additional confidence when navigating shifting sands or steep terrain.

The bottom line

This is the definitive choice for a buyer seeking the last of the great HEMI V8s in a modern, low-mileage package that is perfectly suited for both the boardroom and the dunes.
