Toyota Camry SE

Highlights

• 298 hp from a 3.5-liter V6 engine
• Extensive GCC authorised service network
• Strong value retention in the GCC used market

Summary

This 2024 Toyota Camry SE is a standout choice for those seeking a balance of reliability and performance, featuring the increasingly rare 3.5-liter V6 engine that offers superior highway overtaking compared to the standard four-cylinder models. With only 3,000 km on the odometer, this car is essentially in new-room condition, offering a significant advantage over typical high-mileage GCC used cars. The black exterior is a perennial favorite for resale in the region, ensuring long-term value protection for the next owner. In a segment often dominated by hybrid efficiency, this petrol V6 version delivers a more engaging, smooth driving experience that is perfectly suited for long-distance cruising across the Emirates. For any GCC buyer, the peace of mind provided by the region's most extensive service network makes this a low-risk, high-reward investment.

This Car vs Other 2024 Camrys

With just 3,000 km, this vehicle sits well below the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average for used cars in the GCC, representing a near-new purchase opportunity. While many 2024 models are equipped with the 2.5L engine, this V6 variant provides a level of refinement and power that is becoming harder to find in the local market. The black color remains one of the top three most desirable shades for resale in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

SE vs Lower Trims

The SE trim adds a sport-tuned suspension and a more aggressive mesh grille that significantly changes the car's road presence compared to the standard LE. Inside, you benefit from dual-zone automatic climate control and sport-bolstered SofTex seats, features that are essential for maintaining comfort during the peak GCC summer months. It also upgrades the exterior with 18-inch alloy wheels and a rear spoiler, providing a more premium look than the base models.

Camry vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Honda Accord and Nissan Altima, the Camry V6 stands out with its naturally aspirated power delivery, avoiding the complexities of CVT transmissions found in many rivals. Its air conditioning system is widely regarded as the most robust in the segment, capable of cooling the cabin rapidly even in temperatures exceeding 45°C. The Camry also maintains a larger fuel tank for fewer stops during long-distance highway drives between cities.

Running Costs & Resale

The Camry V6 is known for class-leading value retention, typically depreciating at a much slower rate than its European or American competitors in the local market. Real-world fuel consumption averages around 10.6 L/100km in city traffic, dropping to approximately 7.1 L/100km during highway cruising. Maintenance is straightforward and cost-effective, with authorized service centers available in almost every major town across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman.

Performance & Capability

The 298-hp V6 engine transforms the Camry from a standard commuter into a confident highway cruiser, capable of smooth acceleration for safe overtaking on fast-moving UAE highways. The 8-speed automatic transmission is specifically tuned for refinement, providing seamless shifts that enhance the executive feel of the drive. While front-wheel drive, the sport-tuned SE suspension offers improved stability during cornering without sacrificing the ride quality needed for daily Sheikh Zayed Road commutes.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for long-term durability, featuring high-quality materials that resist the wear of the harsh GCC sun. Rear passengers benefit from dedicated cooling vents, ensuring the entire family remains comfortable during summer trips. Acoustic glass and improved insulation help isolate the cabin from road noise, while the 7-inch touchscreen with smartphone integration keeps you connected across borders.

Safety

Equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+, this Camry includes a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, which is particularly useful for reducing fatigue on long desert highway drives. The SE trim also features Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist and ten airbags as standard, providing comprehensive protection that often exceeds the base safety offerings of its direct competitors.

The bottom line

This is a rare opportunity to own a nearly-new V6 Camry with exceptionally low mileage, perfect for a buyer who prioritizes long-term reliability and resale value without sacrificing performance.
