Summary

This Volvo XC60 is an exceptional find for a GCC buyer seeking a modern luxury crossover with low mileage relative to the regional average of 25,000 km per year. The crisp White exterior is widely considered the strongest resale color in the UAE and Saudi markets, providing a distinct advantage when it’s time to trade in. As a 2024 model, it represents the latest mechanical iteration of this generation, featuring the refined B5 mild-hybrid system that improves stop-start efficiency in heavy city traffic. Its All-Wheel Drive system and high ground clearance make it a versatile choice for weekend escapes to the desert outskirts or long highway hauls between emirates. With its balance of Swedish safety and contemporary tech, this XC60 is a pragmatic yet premium upgrade for any family.

This Car vs Other 2024 XC60s

At just over 24,000 km, this vehicle has been driven significantly less than the typical 30,000+ km usually seen on one-year-old SUVs in the GCC. The White paint is the most heat-reflective and sought-after color in the region, ensuring better thermal comfort and higher buyer demand at resale. This specific listing offers a mechanical freshness that is hard to beat for a 2024 model year.

CORE vs Lower Trims

The Core trim serves as a well-appointed entry point that surprisingly includes the panoramic sunroof and Google-based digital ecosystem as standard, features often tiered higher in rival models. It provides the same B5 mild-hybrid powertrain found in the top-tier Ultra, ensuring performance isn't sacrificed for value. While higher trims add leather and 360-degree cameras, the Core offers the essential Volvo safety suite that GCC families prioritize.

XC60 vs Segment Rivals

The XC60 stands out against the Audi Q5 and Lexus NX with its generous 613-litre boot capacity, making it superior for family airport runs or grocery trips. Its standard All-Wheel Drive system provides more confidence on sandy roads compared to the front-wheel-drive configurations common in some entry-level Japanese rivals. Volvo's world-renowned safety ratings give it a unique edge in a market where highway speeds and traffic density are high.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.0L B5 mild-hybrid engine averages approximately 7.6 L/100km combined, offering efficient performance during long-distance drives across the GCC. Authorized service centers are widely available through Al Futtaim in the UAE and reputable distributors in Saudi Arabia, ensuring consistent maintenance support. While European luxury SUVs typically depreciate faster than Japanese alternatives, the XC60's popularity and White color help it retain roughly 55-60% of its value after three years.

Performance & Capability

With a 0–100 km/h time of 6.9 seconds, this SUV offers plenty of punch for overtaking on the E11 or E311 highways. The 216 mm ground clearance is higher than many road-biased crossovers, allowing you to navigate gravel paths and light desert tracks during camping trips with ease. The 8-speed automatic transmission is tuned for refinement, providing a smooth experience during the heavy stop-start traffic characteristic of Dubai or Riyadh.

Comfort & Cabin

The 5-seat cabin is designed with Scandinavian minimalism, featuring a powerful dual-zone climate control system specifically engineered to handle extreme summer heat. Acoustic glass and premium cabin insulation ensure a quiet environment even at high highway speeds. The Google-powered 9-inch infotainment display includes native Google Maps, which is exceptionally reliable for navigating the rapidly changing road networks of the GCC.

Safety

Volvo is synonymous with safety, and this XC60 includes a full suite of ADAS systems standard on the Core trim, including Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Steer Assist and Cross Traffic Alert with Autobrake. These systems are invaluable for the multi-lane, fast-moving highway environments found throughout the region. Additionally, the standard Lane Keeping Aid and Run-off Road Mitigation provide peace of mind during long desert drives where driver fatigue can be a factor.

The bottom line

This 2024 XC60 is a rare opportunity to secure a near-new European luxury SUV in the region's best resale color with mileage that beats the local average. It is the perfect choice for a professional or small family who wants a safe, tech-forward daily driver that holds its value better than most in its class.
