Summary

This 2025 GAC M8 GX is a premium seven-seater van that offers an executive-class experience at a competitive price point in the GCC market. With its striking 'Awakening Lion' front grille and LED lighting, it stands out visually among traditional people-movers while providing significant space for family or chauffeur use. As the range-topping GX trim, it includes the most advanced cabin features available, ensuring high comfort for all passengers. The black exterior is highly favored for resale in the region, adding long-term value to this well-maintained example. For buyers in the UAE and across the GCC, the strong authorized service network led by Gargash Motors provides reliable long-term support and parts availability.

This Car vs Other 2025 M8s

With 85,400 km on the odometer, this M8 has been actively utilized, likely for long-distance highway commutes between Emirates, which is typical for the region. While higher than some weekend-only listings, the mileage is offset by the 2025 model year advantage, ensuring modern tech and active safety systems remain current. The black exterior is a premier resale choice in the GCC, holding its value better than gold or grey alternatives in the used market.

GX vs Lower Trims

The GX trim is the flagship of the M8 range, significantly upgrading the passenger experience over the standard GT trim. It adds premium touches like ventilated and heated second-row seats with 10-point massage functions and integrated tray tables for a true 'business class' feel. Additionally, the GX features a superior 8-speaker audio system and an expanded ADAS suite, making it the preferred choice for those prioritizing safety and luxury.

M8 vs Segment Rivals

The GAC M8 competes directly with established rivals like the Kia Carnival and Toyota Granvia, leading with its high-output 248 hp turbocharged engine. While the Carnival offers more widespread brand familiarity, the M8 leads in cabin tech-per-Dirham, offering features like a 14.6-inch touchscreen that are often optional or absent in competitors. Its 65-liter fuel tank is well-suited for long desert highway hauls, such as the drive from Dubai to Riyadh.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.0T engine averages around 10 L/100km, performing efficiently during highway cruising but increasing in stop-start city traffic in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. GAC's service network is extensive across the UAE, with service intervals typically recommended every 10,000 km. While Chinese luxury MPVs are newer to the market, the M8 is demonstrating stable value retention due to its high demand in the chauffeur and premium family sectors.

Performance & Capability

The M8 delivers a robust 400 Nm of torque, enabling smooth highway overtaking even with a full complement of seven passengers. The Aisin 8-speed automatic transmission is tuned for refinement rather than sportiness, providing seamless gear changes during long-distance travel. With a top speed of 180 km/h and front-wheel-drive stability, it is purpose-built for the fast-moving highways of the GCC rather than off-road terrain.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the M8 is designed for the GCC climate, featuring a powerful tri-zone climate control system and ventilated seats that are essential for summer driving. The 2/2/3 seating configuration is anchored by second-row captain's chairs that slide up to 480mm, offering limousine-like legroom. Cabin insulation is excellent, effectively muting wind and road noise during high-speed highway travel across the Emirates.

Safety

The M8 GX is equipped with a comprehensive safety package, including seven airbags and a Level 2 ADAS suite. Standard features like 360-degree cameras and blind-spot monitoring are particularly useful in the UAE's multi-lane highway environment. It also includes adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking, providing peace of mind for family road trips across the GCC borders.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer seeking Lexus-level luxury at a more accessible price, this M8 GX is a smart choice that excels in passenger comfort and highway capability. It represents a significant opportunity to own a late-model flagship van with a resale-friendly color and full GCC specifications.
