Summary

This 2025 Geely Coolray GF is a standout option in the subcompact crossover market, offering a high-performance 1.5L turbo engine and a premium cabin that rivals much more expensive European competitors. With mileage sitting under 30,000 km, this vehicle is well within its mechanical prime and follows the expected annual usage pattern for a modern GCC daily driver. The white exterior is the most sought-after resale color in the UAE, ensuring strong market liquidity and better temperature regulation during the peak summer months. As the balanced GF trim, it provides the perfect middle ground between high-end tech and long-term value, making it a highly practical choice for city commuting in Dubai or weekend drives to the northern emirates. For a buyer looking for a one-year-old vehicle that still feels and drives like new, this Coolray offers a significant saving over showroom prices without sacrificing the modern features today's market demands.

This Car vs Other 2025 Coolrays

At 29,465 km, this Coolray has been used as a typical primary vehicle for a UAE resident, sitting right at the average mileage mark for a one-year-old car in the region. Many examples on the market are either high-mileage fleet rentals or low-use secondary cars; this listing represents a well-maintained, privately driven middle ground. The white finish is a strategic advantage for GCC buyers, consistently fetching better resale prices and reflecting less solar heat than darker alternatives.

GF vs Lower Trims

The GF trim adds substantial value over the entry-level GL, most notably the 540° camera system which includes a 'transparent chassis' view for effortless parking in tight urban spaces. Inside, you get the larger 12.3-inch touchscreen, a panoramic sunroof, and multi-color ambient lighting that significantly elevates the cabin atmosphere. It also introduces essential safety tech like Blind Spot Detection and a power tailgate, features that are often missing from the basic configurations.

Coolray vs Segment Rivals

The Coolray leads the subcompact segment with a punchy 1.5L 4-cylinder turbo engine that outperforms the naturally aspirated units found in the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. Its 290 Nm of torque provides superior highway overtaking capability, a critical factor for fast-moving UAE motorways. While rivals focus on utility, the Geely uses the BMA architecture to offer a more refined, European-style driving feel and a higher level of standard cabin tech.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 6.5 L/100km, though expect slightly higher figures in heavy stop-start traffic in Riyadh or Dubai. The 1.5L engine is efficient enough for long cross-border drives, while the 45-litre tank provides a decent range for a vehicle of this size. Geely’s presence in the GCC has grown rapidly, with authorized service centers like AGMC in the UAE providing reliable parts availability and professional maintenance. While Chinese brands typically depreciate faster than Japanese rivals, the Coolray’s high demand among young professionals keeps its 3-year value retention competitive.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5L turbocharged engine is the heart of this car, delivering 172 hp and a quick 0-100 km/h time of 7.6 seconds, making it one of the quickest in its class. The 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission is tuned for smooth shifts, avoiding the jerkiness often found in older DCT units during low-speed city crawls. With 210 mm of ground clearance, it handles speed bumps and gravel tracks with ease, though its front-wheel-drive layout is strictly optimized for paved roads and light weekend adventures.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the GCC climate, featuring a powerful air conditioning system and dedicated rear vents to keep all five passengers cool. The GF trim’s leatherette seats are durable and easy to clean, while the panoramic sunroof features a thick sunblind to block out the midday sun. Acoustic insulation is surprisingly good for the segment, providing a quiet environment for long highway commutes between emirates.

Safety

Safety is a priority on the GF trim, featuring a full suite of six airbags and advanced driver assistance systems including Blind Spot Detection and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. The 540° camera system provides total visibility, which is exceptionally helpful in narrow parking garages or when navigating busy school drop-off zones. Electronic Stability Control and Hill Descent Control come standard, ensuring the car remains composed on rain-slicked roads or uneven surfaces.

The bottom line

This Coolray GF is the ideal choice for a tech-focused buyer who wants a nearly new, high-spec SUV with the region's best resale color and manageable mileage.
