Summary

This 2025 SUV represents one of the most sought-after configurations in the GCC market, combining the raw power of a V8 engine with the most desirable regional specifications. Its mileage is notably low for a modern vehicle in this region, where long-distance highway commuting typically adds up much faster, ensuring the mechanical components remain in their peak operational window. The white exterior is the gold standard for resale value in the Middle East, offering the best heat reflection during intense summer months and the highest demand on the secondary market. Buyers will appreciate the immense 525 horsepower output which provides effortless overtaking on the E11 and E311 highways. Because it is a GCC spec vehicle, it comes with the peace of mind of a cooling system and air conditioning units specifically designed to handle 45°C+ temperatures without hesitation. For a collector or an enthusiast, this combination of modern technology and high-output performance makes it a standout choice that balances luxury with rugged durability.

This Car vs Other 2025 Defenders

With just 29,600 km on the odometer, this vehicle has been driven significantly less than the average 2025 model in the GCC, where annual mileage often surpasses 25,000 km due to the nature of inter-emirate travel. This low usage means the interior materials, particularly the high-traffic touchpoints like the steering wheel and seat bolsters, show far less wear than more heavily used examples. The choice of a white exterior provides a significant advantage in the local market, as it is the most popular color for its ability to hide desert dust and maintain a cooler cabin temperature. Mechanically, a vehicle with this mileage is still in its early lifecycle, having likely only undergone its initial break-in services. Choosing this specific unit allows a buyer to bypass the initial steep depreciation while still enjoying a vehicle that feels and operates as though it just left the showroom. It represents a precise middle ground between a brand-new showroom purchase and a higher-mileage used alternative.

Not specified vs Lower Trims

Stepping up to this V8-powered variant changes the character of the vehicle entirely compared to the 4-cylinder or 6-cylinder alternatives commonly found on the road. The 5.0-liter engine provides a level of torque and mechanical refinement that lower trims simply cannot match, making high-speed highway cruising virtually silent and effortless. Unlike base models, this trim includes a more sophisticated air suspension system that adapts in real-time to both paved roads and sandy terrain. Inside, the cabin receives a higher grade of materials, including premium upholstery and enhanced sound insulation that isolates passengers from road noise and wind at high speeds. The inclusion of a top-tier branded audio system and advanced climate control features ensures that every passenger remains comfortable even during the peak of the GCC summer. Additionally, the electronic active differential and Torque Vectoring by Braking systems are standard here, providing superior traction that is often an optional upgrade on lower specifications.

Defender vs Segment Rivals

When compared to rivals like the Mercedes-Benz G-Class or the Toyota Land Cruiser 300, this model offers a unique blend of uncompromised off-road heritage and modern unibody comfort. While the Land Cruiser is a staple of the region for its reliability, the 525 hp output of this V8 provides a much more visceral and performance-oriented driving experience on the road. Against the G-Class, it offers a more advanced and user-friendly infotainment interface alongside a suspension setup that is significantly more settled during high-speed highway transitions between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The cooling capacity of the AC system is specifically tuned for the region, often outperforming European rivals that aren't optimized for the extreme humidity and heat of the Gulf. Furthermore, the interior space management provides more generous legroom for second-row passengers compared to many luxury SUVs in the same price bracket. It remains the only choice for those who want a vehicle that can genuinely conquer a weekend in the dunes and then look perfectly at home at a five-star valet on the Palm Jumeirah.

Running Costs & Resale

Ownership costs for a V8 of this caliber are balanced by the vehicle's incredible demand in the UAE and Saudi Arabian markets. While the 5.0L petrol engine is designed for performance, its highway efficiency is surprisingly stable due to the advanced 8-speed automatic transmission which keeps RPMs low at cruising speeds. Maintenance is straightforward across the GCC, as the brand maintains a massive network of authorized service centers in every major city from Riyadh to Muscat, ensuring genuine parts are always available. In terms of resale, the V8 variants of this model historically hold their value better than the smaller-displacement engines because they are viewed as 'forever cars' by enthusiasts. You can expect a depreciation rate that is more favorable than rivals like the Range Rover Vogue or BMW X7, typically hovering around 12-15% annually in the first few years. Being a GCC spec car, it will always command a premium at trade-in time over any imported North American or European equivalents, as it carries the necessary radiator and AC upgrades for local longevity.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this vehicle is its 525 hp supercharged V8, which propels this large SUV from 0-100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds, a figure that puts many dedicated sports cars to shame. This power is managed by a sophisticated All-Wheel Drive system that can automatically distribute torque to whichever wheel has the most grip, whether you are on a rain-slicked highway or a soft sand track. With a massive towing capacity of up to 3,500 kg, it is perfectly suited for transporting boats to the marina or trailers for weekend adventures. The adjustable air suspension allows the vehicle to increase its ground clearance significantly, providing the ability to clear obstacles that would stop most other luxury SUVs. Drive modes are specifically calibrated for GCC conditions, including a dedicated 'Sand' mode that optimizes throttle response and gear shifts for desert driving. Despite its rugged capabilities, the steering remains precise and light, making it surprisingly easy to maneuver through tight city traffic in Downtown Dubai or West Bay.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is a sanctuary designed to withstand the harsh outside environment, featuring a quad-zone climate control system that can rapidly drop the cabin temperature even after the car has been parked in the sun. The 5-seat layout ensures maximum cargo space in the rear for luggage or camping gear, while giving every passenger ample shoulder and headroom. Front seats are heavily adjustable and feature high-quality materials that are designed to be durable yet supple, perfect for long-distance drives across the borders. The cabin is equipped with the latest Pivi Pro infotainment system, which is lightning fast and supports wireless smartphone integration for seamless navigation through Waze or Google Maps. Acoustic glass helps maintain a hushed environment, shielding the occupants from the roar of heavy trucks on the highway or the whistling of desert winds. Multiple USB-C charging ports are scattered throughout the cabin, ensuring that every passenger's device remains powered during long trips between cities.

Safety

Safety is paramount in a vehicle designed for both high speed and high adventure, featuring a comprehensive suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Standard features include Blind Spot Assist, which is essential for the fast-paced, multi-lane highways of the GCC, and Lane Keep Assist to prevent drifting during long, monotonous desert drives. The 3D Surround Camera system provides a bird’s-eye view of the vehicle, making it easy to park in tight mall spaces or to navigate between rocks while off-roading. Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go functionality takes the stress out of heavy traffic jams in Riyadh or Dubai, maintaining a safe distance from the car ahead automatically. In addition to these active systems, the vehicle is built with a high-strength aluminum intensive monocoque that provides the stiffest structure the brand has ever produced, resulting in a 5-star safety rating. Emergency Braking and Rear Traffic Monitor add another layer of protection for the family, ensuring peace of mind every time you get behind the wheel.

The bottom line

This 2025 V8 Defender is the ultimate acquisition for a buyer who refuses to choose between supercar-level performance and world-class off-road capability. With its low mileage and preferred GCC specification, it offers a secure investment and a superior ownership experience in the local market.
