• 700 Nm of torque
• Extensive GCC authorised service network

Summary

This 2025 Nissan Patrol LE Platinum City represents a significant opportunity for GCC buyers, offering the redesigned Y63 generation's performance with a proven white exterior that holds its value exceptionally well in the local market. With the transition to the new 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6, this SUV provides substantially more torque for highway overtaking than previous generations while maintaining its status as a regional icon. For its age, the mileage is slightly higher than the average for typical UAE city use, but these vehicles are engineered for high-km desert and cross-border drives. As the flagship trim, the Platinum City offers a level of cabin technology that outclasses its immediate rivals, making it a sophisticated choice for executive commuting or family duties. It is a robust, well-supported vehicle designed specifically for the demands of Middle Eastern road conditions and climate.

This Car vs Other 2025 Nissan Patrols

While many 2025 models in the market are entry-level SE trims or carry the naturally aspirated V6, this LE Platinum City represents the technical peak of the Y63 launch year. Its mileage reflects active highway use common for new-generation models in the UAE, which often indicates the vehicle has been well-maintained to meet frequent travel demands. The white exterior is a strategic choice for GCC buyers, known for superior heat reflection and having the highest resale liquidity in the pre-owned market.

LE PLATINUM CITY vs Lower Trims

The LE Platinum City is the comprehensive 'full option' specification, adding high-demand features like the massive 28.6-inch Monolith display that lower grades lack. GCC buyers benefit specifically from the Biometric Cooling system and climate-controlled quilted leather seats with massage functions, which are absent on the SE and standard LE trims. It also gains the 22-inch machine-cut alloy wheels and the specialized 3D Around View Monitor with 'Invisible Hood' technology for navigating tight parking or desert obstacles.

Nissan Patrol vs Segment Rivals

The Patrol leads the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 in terms of interior digital real estate and wheelbase length, providing a more stable and technologically advanced highway ride. Unlike the Ford Expedition, the Patrol is built on a heavy-duty ladder-frame chassis that is fundamentally more durable for the rough sand and gravel tracks of the GCC. While rivals focus on efficiency, the Patrol prioritizes cabin cooling capacity and long-distance durability, making it the preferred workhorse for regional cross-border travel.

Running Costs & Resale

The new twin-turbo V6 delivers better real-world highway efficiency than the outgoing V8, though GCC city traffic will still see consumption typical of a large SUV. Maintenance is highly convenient due to Nissan's massive authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, with parts available in almost every town. While the Land Cruiser generally leads in raw percentage retention, the Patrol remains a top-tier asset in the GCC, typically retaining 85-90% of its value in its first year. Regular 10,000 km service intervals ensure the twin-turbo system remains reliable in high-temperature environments.

Performance & Capability

The standout figure is the 700 Nm of torque, which arrives much lower in the rev range than the old V8, making this massive SUV feel surprisingly agile on the Sheikh Zayed Road. The 9-speed automatic transmission is tuned for smooth shifts during long-distance hauls across the emirates, while the 4WD system with selectable terrain modes handles dune driving with ease. With a ground clearance of approximately 244mm, it comfortably clears standard desert obstacles and high speed bumps alike. The twin-turbo engine has been specifically tested to maintain performance during the peak of the GCC summer without heat soak.

Comfort & Cabin

This 4-seater configuration provides an executive-level rear passenger experience with significantly more legroom and individual space than the standard 7-seat layouts. The cabin is insulated with acoustic glass to ensure a serene environment even at high highway speeds, while the tri-zone climate control is engineered to drop interior temperatures rapidly after the car has been parked in the sun. Premium materials like quilted leather and 64-color ambient lighting create a high-end atmosphere that feels more like a luxury sedan than a traditional 4x4. The inclusion of the 12-speaker Klipsch audio system offers a concert-like experience that makes long desert drives far more enjoyable.

Safety

The LE Platinum City features Nissan's most advanced safety suite, including ProPILOT adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assistance, which are essential for long, monotonous highway drives between major cities. It also utilizes an Intelligent Rear View Mirror that provides a clear camera feed even if the luggage area is fully loaded to the roof. Active safety systems like Intelligent Emergency Braking with pedestrian detection and blind-spot intervention provide a crucial layer of protection in fast-moving multi-lane traffic. The 3D Around View Monitor is particularly useful in this large SUV, helping to eliminate blind spots when maneuvering in tight urban environments.

The bottom line

This 2025 Nissan Patrol is ideal for the executive buyer who wants the very latest in Japanese SUV luxury without the long waitlist for a brand-new showroom unit. As a flagship Platinum City trim in the most desirable resale color, it represents a secure, high-tech investment for any GCC resident.
