Summary

This 2025 Rolls Royce Cullinan Black Badge represents a significant opportunity in the GCC market, combining near-delivery mileage with the most aggressive trim configuration available. At just one year old and with only 8,000 km, this example has barely completed its initial break-in period, offering a substantial advantage over the typical 25,000 km annual usage seen in the UAE. The Black-on-Black colorway remains the single strongest resale combination in the region, ensuring maximum value retention for future trade-ins. As a Black Badge, it offers a more assertive presence and technical carbon fiber interior that is highly sought after by the younger executive demographic in Dubai and Riyadh. For a GCC buyer, the primary consideration is the peace of mind provided by the regional specification, which includes optimized cooling for extreme summer temperatures.

This Car vs Other 2025 Cullinans

With only 8,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits well below the average 20,000–25,000 km typically covered by luxury SUVs in the GCC within their first year. This exceptionally low mileage effectively makes it a 'near-new' alternative to a showroom order, skipping the lengthy commissioning wait times. The triple-black aesthetic is the most liquid configuration in the local used market, consistently commanding faster sales and higher premiums than brighter, bespoke palettes.

BLACK BADGE vs Lower Trims

The Black Badge trim is more than an aesthetic package; it increases the V12's output to 600 hp and 900 Nm of torque compared to the 563 hp of the standard Cullinan. It adds the iconic Technical Carbon interior veneer, a more vocal sports exhaust system, and darkened chrome finishes on the Spirit of Ecstasy and Pantheon grille. For the GCC buyer, the inclusion of the Starlight Headliner and high-gloss black 23-inch wheels provides the road presence that standard trims often lack.

Cullinan vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the Bentley Bentayga and Lamborghini Urus focus on Nürburgring times, the Cullinan leads the segment in sheer 'waftability' and cabin insulation. It offers significantly more rear headroom and a more commanding driving position than its peers, making it the preferred choice for long-distance cruising between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The Cullinan’s 90-litre fuel tank also provides superior touring range for cross-border GCC travel compared to the smaller tanks found in performance-focused rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the V12 averages around 16.5 L/100km, though this can rise in stop-start city traffic during peak UAE summer. Service intervals are managed by a Condition-Based Service system, but local experts recommend oil changes every 10,000 km to protect the twin-turbochargers from extreme ambient heat. As a GCC-spec Black Badge, this car follows a shallower depreciation curve than European or American imports, typically retaining approximately 82% of its value after three years in the local market. Authorized service centers are readily available across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait.

Performance & Capability

The hand-built V12 engine delivers an effortless 0–100 km/h time of 5.2 seconds, but the true highlight is the 900 Nm of torque that provides instant overtaking power on fast-moving highways. The 'Magic Carpet Ride' air suspension uses a stereo camera to read the road ahead and adjust the dampers proactively, ensuring total composure on both paved city streets and gravel desert tracks. While not a dedicated off-roader, its sophisticated All-Wheel Drive system and dedicated 'Everywhere' mode allow for confident navigation of sandy terrain during weekend excursions.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the GCC climate, featuring a high-capacity HVAC system designed to drop cabin temperatures rapidly even after hours in the sun. The five-seat configuration includes ventilated front seats and deep-pile lambswool floor mats, providing a tactile sense of luxury unmatched by mass-production SUVs. Acoustic glazing and over 100kg of sound insulation ensure that the exterior world—including high-speed wind noise—is completely filtered out during long highway drives.

Safety

This Black Badge comes equipped with a comprehensive ADAS suite essential for high-speed GCC highways, including Night Vision with pedestrian detection and a 360-degree 'helicopter view' camera system. The adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist are particularly useful for the long, straight desert stretches between emirates, while the Laser headlights provide exceptional visibility during unlit nighttime drives. Standard safety features include a robust 12-airbag system and stability control calibrated specifically for the vehicle’s 2.7-tonne mass.

The bottom line

For the buyer who demands the absolute peak of the SUV segment, this low-mileage 2025 Black Badge offers the perfect blend of performance and local resale strength. It is the ideal opportunity to acquire a current-model-year Rolls Royce in the most desirable GCC specification without the wait.
