Summary

This 2025 Seres 7 Comfortline is a strategic entry into the luxury hybrid market, offering a sophisticated alternative to traditional German or Japanese SUVs. As a brand-new model year in the GCC, this RWD configuration is highly efficient, featuring an advanced range-extender system that eliminates the range anxiety common with pure EVs. The black exterior is a timeless and strong resale choice for the region, while the six-seat layout with mid-row captain chairs makes it a premier family or executive transport. In a market where high-tech cabins and long-distance capabilities are prized, this Seres 7 stands out for its blend of Huawei-driven technology and massive fuel range.

This Car vs Other 2025 Seres 7s

Compared to the typical annual GCC mileage of 20,000–25,000 km, this vehicle remains effectively new. The black exterior is a perennial favorite in the UAE market, ensuring strong liquidity and desirability when it eventually enters the secondary market. Buyers will find this specific configuration offers the ideal balance of range-extender efficiency and high-end interior finishing.

COMFORTLINE vs Lower Trims

The Comfortline trim serves as a significant luxury step up, adding essential GCC-market features like ventilated seats and the full Huawei HarmonyOS ecosystem. Unlike base specifications, this trim includes the high-resolution 15.6-inch 2K touchscreen and Nappa leather upholstery, elevating the cabin to executive standards. It also standardizes the 360-degree camera system, which is a vital aid for navigating this large SUV in urban GCC parking environments.

Seres 7 vs Segment Rivals

The Seres 7 leads its segment rivals like the Li Auto L7 or the BYD Tang with its massive 60-liter fuel tank and range-extender technology, providing a total range that outclasses most traditional petrol SUVs for long Dubai-to-Muscat drives. Its six-seat configuration offers superior second-row comfort compared to standard five-seat German luxury crossovers. Furthermore, the Huawei-integrated cockpit provides a level of digital fluidity and smartphone integration that outpaces more established premium brands.

Running Costs & Resale

With a fuel consumption rate as low as 5.4L/100km when the battery is depleted, this hybrid powertrain offers significant savings in GCC stop-start traffic. Seres has established a growing authorized service network in the UAE and wider GCC, typically offering 8-year battery warranties that protect future resale value. As a new entrant in the premium segment, the Seres 7 is expected to hold its value competitively against other high-tech Chinese luxury brands, benefiting from its high standard specification and GCC-optimized cooling systems.

Performance & Capability

Propelled by a 272 hp rear-mounted electric motor, this SUV delivers a smooth 0–100 km/h time of 7.8 seconds, providing effortless highway overtaking on fast-moving UAE roads. The 1.5-liter turbocharged engine acts solely as a generator, ensuring the electric motors always have power for consistent performance even on long desert highway stretches. The rear-wheel-drive setup is tuned for on-road refinement and comfort, featuring FSD variable dampers that automatically adjust to road conditions for a serene ride.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary for the GCC summer, featuring a powerful three-zone climate control system and ventilated seats that are essential for local temperatures. The six-seat layout is anchored by luxurious second-row captain chairs, offering individual comfort that rivals business-class travel. High-quality Nappa leather and soft-touch materials are used throughout, complemented by a panoramic sunroof and an 11-speaker premium audio system for an upscale family experience.

Safety

Standard safety on the Comfortline trim includes a comprehensive ADAS suite featuring Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection, and Lane Keeping Assist, which are particularly effective for high-speed GCC highway driving. The vehicle is built with high-strength hot-formed steel and equipped with 8 airbags to ensure maximum occupant protection. Advanced parking aids, including a 360-degree camera and front/rear sensors, come standard to handle the vehicle’s large 5-meter footprint.

The bottom line

This 2025 Seres 7 is the perfect opportunity for a tech-focused GCC family looking for luxury and massive range without the constraints of a traditional EV. It offers a flagship-level interior experience at a price point that undercuts the European competition.
