Summary

This 2025 Model Y Long Range is an exceptional find for the UAE market, offering significant savings over a new delivery while remaining well within its primary warranty period. The White exterior is widely considered the smartest choice for the GCC climate, providing the best heat reflection during summer months and ensuring the strongest possible resale value. With 26,000 km, this vehicle is barely past its initial break-in phase, making it a highly competitive alternative to waitlisted new units. For the GCC buyer, the Long Range trim is the sweet spot, providing the necessary battery buffer for effortless commutes between Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and the Northern Emirates. It remains the most technologically advanced and efficient choice in the mid-size SUV segment today.

This Car vs Other 2025 Model Ys

While the average GCC annual mileage often reaches 25,000 km due to frequent inter-city travel, this vehicle sits exactly at that benchmark, confirming it has been used as a primary commuter without being overworked. Being a GCC-spec model, it carries the full support of Tesla’s regional service centers and local warranty, a vital advantage over imported American or European units that often lack local connectivity and charging compatibility. The Pearl White multi-coat finish remains the top-performing color for local resale, consistently moving faster than darker alternatives in the pre-owned market.

LONG RANGE vs Lower Trims

Stepping up to the Long Range AWD provides the dual-motor All-Wheel Drive system, which offers significantly better traction on sand-dusted highways and during the region's sudden winter rains compared to the base RWD. Crucially for the UAE, this trim adds the premium interior package and the larger battery, enabling higher 250 kW Supercharging speeds that the standard RWD cannot match. You also get an upgraded audio system with 13 speakers and a subwoofer, providing a much richer cabin experience during long desert drives.

Model Y vs Segment Rivals

The Model Y leads rivals like the BMW iX3 and Mercedes-Benz EQB with its superior dedicated Supercharger network, which is the most reliable charging infrastructure across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Its minimalist cabin offers significantly more cargo space, totaling 854 liters including the frunk, which outperforms traditional luxury crossovers. Furthermore, Tesla’s software integration and over-the-air updates ensure the vehicle’s features improve over time, a trait most legacy competitors still struggle to match.

Running Costs & Resale

Operating costs for this EV are exceptionally low in the GCC, with home charging rates offering a massive saving compared to petrol equivalents. Tesla vehicles maintain some of the highest residual values in the regional EV market, typically retaining 55–65% of their value after three years, which is superior to many European luxury SUVs. The authorized service network is concentrated in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, offering mobile service for many minor repairs, while the 8-year battery and drive unit warranty provides long-term peace of mind for the second owner.

Performance & Capability

The dual-motor setup delivers 372 hp, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 5.0 seconds, which allows for effortless overtaking on fast-moving highways like E11. With a top speed of 217 km/h and instant torque delivery, the Long Range feels agile despite its SUV proportions. The All-Wheel Drive system intelligently manages power between the wheels, providing stability and confidence when navigating gravel tracks or wet asphalt during the UAE's occasional storms.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for GCC comfort, featuring a panoramic glass roof with advanced UV and infrared protection to keep the interior cool even under direct sunlight. The 15-inch central touchscreen controls everything from the powerful dual-zone climate control to the navigation system which includes real-time Supercharger availability. Seating for five is spacious, and the flat floor provides extra legroom for rear passengers, making it an ideal family vehicle for long road trips across the emirates.

Safety

Safety is a hallmark of the Model Y, featuring a 5-star rating from Euro NCAP and NHTSA. The standard Autopilot suite includes emergency braking, collision warning, and blind-spot monitoring, which are essential for navigating the high-speed, multi-lane traffic typical of Dubai and Riyadh. The low center of gravity provided by the floor-mounted battery pack significantly reduces rollover risk, a key safety benefit for an SUV in this segment.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec 2025 Model Y Long Range is the perfect entry point for a buyer looking for a near-new Tesla experience without the new-car wait times or depreciation, backed by the security of a local warranty.
