Summary

This 2026 Prado represents the boldest generation leap in over a decade, replacing long-standing naturally aspirated engines with a modern, high-torque turbocharged powertrain. The All Rounder G trim strikes a perfect balance for the GCC, offering a professional aesthetic that transitions seamlessly from city boardrooms to weekend dunes. With three rows of seating and body-on-frame construction, it stands out for its mechanical longevity compared to more complex European rivals. White remains a top-tier resale color in the local market, ensuring it stays a highly liquid asset for years to come. For any buyer in the UAE, the unmatched reliability and parts availability make this the definitive choice for long-term ownership.

This Car vs Other 2026 Prados

As a brand-new model year for the redesigned 250-series, this Prado offers the latest GA-F platform and turbocharged efficiency. Its white exterior is a strategic choice for the GCC, providing excellent heat reflection and superior resale value compared to darker alternatives. The mileage is consistent with a new vehicle, offering a fresh start on Toyota's legendary reliability cycle.

ALL ROUNDER G vs Lower Trims

The All Rounder G trim adds essential GCC comforts over the base Classic, including ventilated front seats and a powered driver's seat. It also upgrades the cabin with a 12.3-inch digital display and a sunroof, features that are highly sought after by local buyers. Mechanically, it includes Crawl Control and Downhill Assist Control, making it significantly more capable in soft sand than entry-level variants.

Prado vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the Land Rover Defender offer more outright power, the Prado leads with its massive 110-litre fuel capacity, which is vital for long-distance desert touring. It also benefits from a much larger authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman compared to the Ford Everest. For family use, its specific 7-seat configuration is built for durability that monocoque rivals struggle to match.

Running Costs & Resale

The new 2.4L turbo engine achieves roughly 10.6 km/L, a competitive figure for a vehicle of this size in stop-start city traffic. Service intervals typically fall every 10,000 km at authorized centers, which are easily accessible across all major GCC cities. Historically, the Prado maintains one of the lowest depreciation rates in the region, often retaining over 85% of its value after the first three years.

Performance & Capability

With 430 Nm of torque available from just 1700 RPM, this Prado delivers the low-end grunt needed for effortless dune climbing and confident highway overtaking. The full-time 4WD system and 221 mm of ground clearance ensure it can handle everything from rocky wadis to deep desert sand. The new 8-speed automatic transmission provides much smoother shifts during long cross-border drives compared to the older 6-speed units.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the extreme GCC summer, featuring a high-output air conditioning system with dedicated vents for all three rows. Ventilated front seats keep the driver cool during the hottest months, while the 12.3-inch touchscreen provides seamless Apple CarPlay connectivity. Acoustic insulation has been significantly improved in this generation, resulting in a much quieter highway experience at speed.

Safety

Safety is managed by the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite, which includes adaptive cruise control and lane tracing assist, both of which are essential for long, straight desert highways. A 360-degree camera system is standard on this trim, making it easy to navigate tight parking spots in Dubai or Riyadh. The vehicle is also equipped with multiple airbags and electronic stability control specifically tuned for sand and gravel surfaces.

The bottom line

This 2026 Prado All Rounder G is the ideal match for a GCC buyer who needs a dependable daily commuter that can double as a serious desert explorer on weekends. It offers the perfect specification for the local market, combining modern turbo performance with the region's best resale profile.
