Summary

This 2025 Camry GLE HEV represents the latest generation of the region's most trusted sedan, now featuring an exclusively hybrid powertrain that excels in stop-start GCC traffic. The white exterior is a prime choice for the local market, offering excellent heat reflection and the highest possible resale stability. With 39,000 km, this vehicle has been actively driven but remains well within its mechanical prime, backed by Toyota's legendary reputation for durability in extreme heat. The GLE trim offers a significant step up in cabin technology and comfort over the base models, making it a highly practical buy for both daily commuting and long-distance highway travel. As a GCC-spec hybrid, it delivers a rare combination of immediate fuel savings and long-term investment protection.

This Car vs Other 2025 Camrys

With 39,000 km on the odometer, this Camry has seen slightly higher than average usage for a one-year-old vehicle in the GCC, where 20,000–25,000 km is the typical benchmark. However, its white exterior is the most sought-after color in the local used market, ensuring faster resale and better value retention than darker shades. The regional GCC specification ensures the cooling system and upholstery are purpose-built to withstand the local summer climate.

GLE HEV vs Lower Trims

The GLE trim adds essential premium features that the base E trim lacks, most notably a sunroof, wireless charging pad, and an upgraded touchscreen interface. GCC buyers will particularly appreciate the inclusion of front and rear parking sensors and a more refined interior finish, which significantly enhances daily usability and comfort. These additions are not just luxuries but key value drivers that help the GLE hold its price better than entry-level versions.

Camry vs Segment Rivals

The Camry HEV leads its primary rivals, the Honda Accord and Nissan Altima, specifically in real-world fuel efficiency and long-term resale stability within the UAE and Saudi markets. While rivals offer competitive cabin tech, the Camry's 50-litre fuel tank paired with a hybrid system provides a superior total range, reducing stops on long drives between emirates. Toyota's air conditioning systems are also widely regarded by local owners as the most robust for handling 45°C+ summer peaks.

Running Costs & Resale

This hybrid powertrain achieves a manufacturer-estimated 27.7 km/L, which translates to massive savings in high-traffic urban areas like Dubai or Riyadh. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km, and with the most extensive authorized service network in the GCC, parts are affordable and readily available even in remote areas. Toyota Camrys historically experience the lowest depreciation rates in the sedan segment, typically losing only 8–10% of their value annually compared to 12-15% for most competitors.

Performance & Capability

The 5th generation hybrid system delivers a combined 226 hp, providing responsive acceleration that makes highway overtaking effortless on fast-moving roads like E11. The E-CVT transmission is tuned for smoothness, ensuring a quiet cabin environment even at high cruising speeds. While not a performance car, its 0–100 km/h sprint in approximately 7.5 seconds is more than adequate for the executive commuter, and its retuned suspension offers a balanced ride that handles highway undulations with poise.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is designed with an open-concept layout, featuring high-quality materials and a dedicated rear-seat climate zone to ensure passenger comfort during the peak of summer. The 15.1 cubic feet of boot space remains practical despite the hybrid battery placement, easily accommodating family groceries or weekend luggage. With acoustic glass and updated insulation, the cabin provides a peaceful retreat from the wind noise typically experienced on long desert highway stretches.

Safety

Equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, this Camry includes a comprehensive suite of active safety tech such as Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, which is indispensable for long-distance GCC drives. Lane Departure Alert and 6 airbags come standard, providing 360-degree protection for all occupants. The stability control and ABS are specifically calibrated for high-temperature road surfaces, ensuring reliable braking performance even in extreme heat.

The bottom line

Perfect for the high-mileage commuter or family looking for a bulletproof, fuel-efficient sedan that will retain its value better than anything else in its class.
